Customer Questions & Answers

The low voltage track heads we have are about three inches long can they be interchanged with the model shown? I can't seem to find them at HD.

Are the larger heads available?
Asked by: masj
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. I'm sorry this is hard to answer not knowing which model or brand track heads you have. The P6110-9B track head is compatible with the current Progress Lighting Alpha Trak series or the discontinued Progress Lighting Trak 1 series. Thanks!

Can LED bulbs be used with this lamp?

Asked by: ABCaring
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. You can install CFL/LED lamps as long as it is a UL listed equivalent to the lamp we specify and does not exceed the original maximum wattage. Please pay careful attention to the bulb manufacturer’s warning/caution statements on the packaging or printed on the lamp. For example, many CFL’s will indicate on the packaging that they cannot be used in an enclosed fixture or used with a dimmer.

How long is the track and how many lights can you put in it?

Asked by: Anonymous
Track for this fixture is sold separately and is available in lengths of 2', 4', 8' or 12' (all of these can be cut to a shorter length, or joined for longer sections). The track sections have a 20-amp capacity.

Customer Reviews

Alpha Trak Collection Brushed Nickel 1-Light Track Head is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from You can make them work but it's quite frustrating These are expensive. The lights themselves are really nice and the track is fine. What goes wrong is the mounting hardware. The metal cover for your ceiling outlet will barely cover the outlet and unless you are really lucky it will not go flush with the ceiling, all three of mine have about 1/8" gap because the adapter plate sits proud from the ceiling. This is even after modifying 2 of the three adapter plates I bought by drilling out some of the unused screw bosses and you can still just about see the outlet. The only way to line up the end of the track with outlet cover is by eye, there is no way to attach them to each other. So it can be done but it is just poor design and you've spent a lot of money. Now they are up I like them but they still don't look right.
