I have installed many lights; however, without the exposured white, black and ground wires, I do not understand. I do not understand how I will get the wires from the electrical box to connect to the wires enclosed in the top of the fixture (some sort of closed box?

Initially, I had the same question as you do. I spent a fair amount of time trying to find the right connection.

Unfortunately, the markings on the fixture part are extremely difficult to see -- I needed a flashlight and magnifying glass to find them. Read Less

Do the 3 curved tubes from the top of the lamp actually connect to, and support the glass, or are they just for appearance? I can't make any connection between them and the 3 anchors toward the upper edge of the glass.

Answer:
I did not complete my assembly, because the glass I received was defective (cracked); however, my sense having nearly completed the assembly is that the curved tubes are only for appearance and do not actually attach to the glass. The assembly directions are very poorly written (essentially non-existent).

Answer:
The arms do not connect directly to the glass, they are supported by the light fixture and just give the appearance of structural supports.

Customer Reviews

Rated 1.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Missing some instructions, and light would not hang straight. The instructions for the electrical quick disconnect were not in the box. I had to go on line to find the information on how it works. The quick disconnect is a good idea, but you need the instructions. After I installed the light I could not get it to hang level. I finally had to take the light back apart and found one of the lower metal stampings on the lower hanging rod was made incorrectly. I had to use a rubber hammer to level out the stamping. Now, after many hours of extra work, the light hangs straight, and looks good. The average customer would have just returned the light. My engineering and maintenance background drove me to find the problem and resolve it. August 21, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Instructions Lacking Parts Poorly Marked The "instructions" were essentially a schematic of the assembly, printed in very small font and were not helpful in putting the light fixture together. I needed a magnifying glass and flashlight in order to see the black on brown marking on the fixture part that connects to the household wiring. As a very experienced do-it-yourself installer, it seems unlikely that this product was given to someone (who was not involved in the design of the product and instructions) to assemble before it went into production. To the extent I was able to assemble some of the light fixture, it appeared to be a visually appealing product. However, by the time I got to installing the glass, I discovered it was cracked, and with the frustration I experienced putting it together (and not yet finished), I decided to package it all back in the original carton and return the product to the store. I ended up purchasing a more visually appealing and different brand of light fixture from another vendor, at a lesser cost. As usual, Home Depot was very accommodating for the return of the product and they will continue to be my "go-to" supplier for home improvements. July 1, 2014
