This was by far the worst and most difficult experience we've ever had installing a light fixture! The directions are awful. The installation DVD doesn't include this particular light. The fast installation feature didn't work and we had to go with the standard installation. We worked on it for over 5 hours and it still isn't up. Oh, did I mention my husband is an engineer and we had to call an electrician for installation? Did I mention he said it's the worst fixture he's ever handled? I'd love my money back but I'm having an open house tomorrow to sell our home and we need the darn thing up!!!

I installed this fixture in my entry and am VERY pleased. The instructions for the hard-wiring portion are very thorough but the assembly instructions for the fixture itself are somewhat lacking. Nonetheless, it's beautiful and looks even better than I would have imagined. Well worth the effort!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nyb44 Nice look to the fixture.
The directions were extremely vague- probably the worst set of directions I have ever gotten in an item for assembly and installation. If the directions were more user friendly it would be easy to recommend the product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Andrea Impossible instructions, bad product - never buying a Progress product again!
My god, the instructions were terrible. Had I not spent my entire morning trying to figure it out, I would have returned it. But I kept thinking I was almost there. Basically, changing a light fixture is a simple task that should take 30 minutes at the very most. But Progress Lighting gives you something called a SatefyQuick Light with its fixtures. The idea is to add the female portion of the fixture to your electrical outlet box permanently so all you have to do to switch fixtures is snap the male portion of the new fixture into the female portion. Well, the SafetyQuick light in the light fixture has the male and female parts fused together somehow so none of the instructions apply. They don't even tell you that you can install the light in the traditional fashion. I didn't figure this out until I had watched several installation videos. Anyway, once it was installed, all I had to do was assemble the rest of the fixture. Simple, right? Well, you only have a tiny drawing of the unit to go by. I tried probably 15 different configurations before realizing that the glass bowl is just never going to fit right. So, now, I have a small bolt showing on the outside of the fixture. Yes it is small, and no one may notice but me, but still. Make a better product Progress Lighting!!!! And include better instructions!!!! You lost a customer forever with what I went through and the time I wasted today.
