Answer:
The switch for adjusting the motion sensitivity is located on the bottom of the fixture backplate alongside the timer control. We do recommend adding a bead of caulk along the top and sides of the backplate to provide a seal against water. There is not a rubber seal or gasket provided with the fixture.

Is this fixture compatible with LED bulbs?

I have three of these fixtures on my home and I have LED bulbs installed. They were working fine until we had a week of heavy thunderstorms and now all three stopped working. I have 4 other non-motion sensor cranbrook fixtures that are working fine with the LED bulbs.

Answer:
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Since the thunderstorm may have caused the power to flicker, you should try putting the fixtures in TEST mode and re-setting the circuit. If that doesn’t help, you can call Progress Lighting @ 800.446.9107 ask for the Progress Technical Dept they will be happy to work with you to help answer this question. Thanks!

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. When motion stops, light will remain on for the predetermined time that you set (5 or 15 minutes) and then it will turn off automatically. Thanks!

Customer Reviews

Cranbrook Collection 1-Light Outdoor Gilded Iron Motion Sensor Wall Lantern is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed We purchased 5 of these about 2yrs ago. Several wks ago we noticed 1 was not working changed bulb that wasn't it. It just stopped working period. The new one purchased to replace that the motion detector does not work at all only works if you set it to stay on. After reading reviews I have seen that this is common with these to stop working after 2 yrs if not sooner. The lights we replaced with these we had for 15 yrs and never had a problem only replaced because we put new siding on and wanted newer looking lights. These ones are actually beautiful lights easy to put on just not at all worth the money if we're going to have to replace with all new ones already.

Last winter it just didn't work when the temperature dropped below freezing. This fall it just started flashing on and off until it finally died. The manufacturer has discontinued this light on their website and only lists a 30 day warranty. It's too bad because the glass and frame is very nice.
