Answer:
It is set up for 110 -120V AC I think they can go up to 100Watt's ea. But work great with the 9W compact florescent (=35w regular bulbs) and have good light output.
But you could wire it to a low voltage system (12V), you would just need to use low voltage edison type screw in bulbs (12V) and design your system for the low voltage.
In case You were asking these are NOT solar.

These seem to match existing path lights installed about 20 years ago.

The tops of two lights were bumped into and now hang from the mounting post. They still light up. Can new tops be installed on the existing posts or does the wiring require that the entire light, post and wiring be pulled out and replaced?

Can this be done by a DIYer or does it require an electrician?

Answer:
We believe since your lights are 20 years old that you will need to replace the entire fixture body and tops. You should be able to mount to your existing poles. Please note these are 120 volt fixtures and will be attached with wire nuts and electrical tape at the main wire connection. Make sure to turn off power at the breaker box before disconnecting the old fixtures and rewiring the new fixtures.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Driveway light replacement As long as the 1/2" pipe thread connection was not too corroded, installation was easy. August 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Matching my 120V path/yard lights This matches my old yard lights that came with the house, and they look to be of good quality. (seams like they are the exact same units +/- from the 1970's) The wires are just right for 12" tall risers from the Tbox's. They are good for the 120V path lighting. I used 11 ea 9w florescent bulbs in these fixtures (Old & New) which worked out great 99w for all of the path lighting (The old ones we made up of 40w'ers = 440W out on the front lawn) Lastly if I did not need to match existing fixtures (these guys would be way to much money) = good but allot of money for yard lighting. I think the 12v low voltage stuff would be better deal if you needed to buy more than a few of these. March 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick delivery and excellent quality These were more green than expected. We were trying to match existing fixtures so I spray painted all of them. We were surprised that the new twisted light bulbs would not fit. Loved the fact that we could match the older fixtures. Added a dimmer and they have a candle like glow. Very pleased with product and service. June 20, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by perfect example of excessive price Good product, matches the ones first installed in 1986, poor price September 4, 2013
