Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisiest ceiling fan ever This fan was installed in our master bedroom. It made such a loud hum, that we couldn't sleep when it was on. We had a Hunter Royal Oak ceiling fan installed in our living room. Standing in our living room directly under the fan, with the living room and bedroom fans both on medium speed, we could only hear the bedroom fan. We figured that maybe it was just a bad motor. Most manufacturers put a note on their product: Do not return this item to the store, for assistance, call this 1-800 number. Not Thomasville Lighting, they do not have a number listed anywhere in the installation guide or the warranty. I went to their website and could only contact them by email, no phone number listed. I sent them an email to see if they wanted to send me a new motor or have me return the item to the store. Ten days later, I still have not received a reply. What good is Thomasville's warranty if you can never contact them? Home Depot was kind enough to allow us to return this fan without the original box. We replaced this fan with a whisper-quiet Hunter Royal Oak fan which cost $200, not the $400 that this fan cost. August 8, 2014
