Don't waste your time, the metal broke within 20 min of painting with it. Sherwin Williams has a version that's even worse, broke within a minute. Stick to regular size rollers until they make better quality large size frames..

Using an 18" roller to paint my garage made it much faster and I was able to move onto my next project sooner. The frame is easy to use and cleans up nicely.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handyman Great product
I don't like to paint but was forced into painting the whole inside of a 4 bedroom home. My nephew told me about the 18" roller so I tried it. I would say it was over twice as fast as an 9" roller and much easier. I will admit if you are going to paint this is the product to use. You may want to put tape on the sides and keep it out of the paint. The reasoning is the sides will mark the wall if doing the ceiling with the aluminum sides.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Integrity Hard working Frame..
As a professional painter I am always looking to save time. This frame while in no way is perfect (i have yet to find a perfect 18" frame, the Purdy really stinks) it does a great job. I can adjust it to 12 inches for the tighter smaller jobs. The only critique I have, is it will collect a ton of splatter over many uses and can gum up the slide adjustments but if cleaned at the end of the job no worries. It is light enough to do tall walls beautifully. The design keeps the roller from "walking". The frame on average lasts me a year. NO brainer investment.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ShavedApe Works fine, minor annoyances
This has a decent build and does the job. Using the roll inserts caused it to squeak loudly with an 18" cover. The adjustment knobs are an odd shape that are hard to turn if you overtighten. I had to tighten the center screw where the handle connects to the frame before using it.

I needed this to handle the 18" roller used for sealing my driveway. It works well and after a good cleanup before using it again, it will do the job the next time.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by docrw DON'T BUY THIS THING
First let me say that I'm a professional painter and do this work daily.
I needed an extra roller and picked this up without really looking closely to it, and they totally botched this device (why) because the ends are NOT finished and will gouge the adjacent wall every time! I gouged several walls even with being careful because of how sharp the ends are. Sure I could take them into my shop and grind and polish those off, but the customer shouldn't have to do that! We buy tools to save us time, and we shouldn't have to fix their oversights. I took mine back!
