Brush and Roller Cleaner is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you do a lot of painting, and want your brushes and rollers clean and ready for the next job! What an interesting gadget... I'd have bought one of these long ago, but I'd never seen one before! I have watched professional painters cleaning their rollers and brushes, and the best way to get paint out is to spin it out! Rinse, spin, and repeat! I believe this will be a valuable tool to have in my arsenal of painting equipment! I am always frustrated when I've done my level best to clean a roller cover or brush, only to see that paint remains inside the roller when I have finished cleaning them! Using one of these paint spinners is the way to go, to do the best job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The tool to clean up at the end-of-day The Brush and Roller Cleaner is a simple tool which solves one of paintings biggest issues. cleaning the tools you use. While I have a Ryobi Brush Cleaner/Conditioner, it does not dry out the brush for better storage. The Brush and Roller Cleaner allows me to use centrifugal force to extract the solvent from the brushes; however, I have always had trouble with cleaning rollers, I was always having grab and rub the roller and missed getting all the paint or cleaner out. Now I can use the centrifugal force in the solvent to assist in cleaning the paint out as removing the solvent from the roller itself. If only used for cleaning the paint roller alone the device is well worth the purchase price 10 times over. I blotted the roller with a paper towel after spinning dry and did not need multiple towels. A half towel did the job. Be sure to keep the red storage clip for storing the device.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good tool but extremely poor quality A brush/roller spinner is a great tool for any painter. Unfortunately, this tool is extremely poor quality. It rust very easily, needs constant lubrication and feels like it's going to fall apart in your hand. I had to spread the times to get it to grip a roller. The more expensive Purdy model is a much better investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Prevent rust, by lubing As mentioned by the other reviewers, rust is a issue with this product. The visible parts of the spinner is either chrome or stainless steel, but the internal parts are neither, and they will rust, if water get into the tube, otherwise the product works as advertised. If water enters the tube, and rust appear, spray lithium grease on the plunger, and spray it into the tube. Lithium grease will lube the interior, and allow the plunger to move freely, in and out of the tube. Otherwise, the plunger will be very sluggish, and difficult to operate. I believe WD40 would have the same affect, but I didn't have any on hand at the time. Achieved ROI via reuse of paint brushes and paint roller covers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Extends Brush Life, but Poorly Manufactured I've been fixing up my duplex and painting off-and-on for almost 3 weeks. This definitely extends the life of brushes, but the production quality is very poor and the spinner is nearly broken at this point. The inner fingers tend to gouge wider handled brushes when pulling them out, and the internal gear tends to jam because the handle & shaft wiggle out of true.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works Great at First Worked great the first time I used it. I eagerly pulled it out a week later and it rusted! Barely usable. Maybe I can revive it with some oil. Or maybe I will just bring it back.
