Rated 4 out of 5Â by Hank Instructions not very helpful
I had been warned by earlier reviews that the instructions were poorly written but I figured the manufacturer would have improved them by now. Not so. I started putting the shelf together logically and after a couple of miss-steps, I completed the project. It's a great self; very sturdy; and I'm glad I purchased it. It would get a 5-star rating if the instructions were written clearer.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by becksg WHAT?!? Really? Look at the picture on the box!
I can honestly say that I don't quite understand the other reviewers' issues with this. Though I admit that I didn't even look at the directions-it's pretty basic. Just look at the picture on the box.
Overall quality-Excellent. Would hold more weight than I have on it. I'm just using it for lightweight bins with Christmas decorations because I wanted to get them off the floor.
Value: Very good/excellent. There are cheaper alternatives out there, but I have plenty of space on my wall panels and this can be moved. I had a shelving system before but it took up floor space and this doesn't.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Buddy Nice product
Nice product but the instructions are horrendously written and illustrated! Not being a handyman, I had to guess which part was which since they were not labled. The wall mounting bracket, not mentioned in the instructions, did not fit. It does seem to be ruggedly constructed though.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by HappyG Awful Instructions, Mediocre Product
Instructions were brutal and I am a pretty handy guy. The copy of the detail was equally horrendous. Actually, no detail, just black blurbs. I had to go online and zoom in. Considering the price, way below average value. I would not recommend this product. Had to drill extra holes as it is restricted to 24 inch width studs. Won't order anymore of this for other projects.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by sconcin Sturdy and functional. Instructions are a joke
As others have reviewed it, the "instructions" are very bad, but the shelf itself is very solid once assembled. I ended up using the Proslat adapter hanging from a wood header lag screwed to the studs, with two additional lag screws drilled through the steel adapter itself and the studs behind it. Does not flinch with 150lb on it. Fairly heavy, but needs to be for the load capacity.
