Is this easy to keep trimmed in a large pot? And if so, how small can it be kept? Should it be cut back in winter?

Asked by: Carol
You can keep in a pot to control it. & you may cut back in winter, previous ones I have had 1 I kept trimmed & in a pot, the other one I planted directly in ground and just let it grow , only trimming branches that were by my walkway

Love the pink flowers in spring. It's starting to fill out and get bigger, however, this spring I have noticed several branches with drooping leaves and then the branches become bare. Is this a fungus or disease? Is the bush dying? What can I do?
