Customer Questions & Answers

Will there be any big flowers with the plant when ordering it now?

I found that many hydrangea sold in nurseries or supermarkets are already with many big blooms. So wonder if I will receive just branches or with many flowers if I order now in April?

how or if i can do anything to bring life to my plant?

i bought 3 little lime hydrangea plants 3 years ago and they blossomed beautiful but last year they didn't blossom at all. I see little green stems on the sides of the bark trying to grow on two but not on one but nothing comes from it. is there anything i can do to bring life back to them and is there something i did wrong..there in mostly sun but do have shade. thank you.

prune in late winter/early spring. Fertilize in spring. apply 2-3 inches of mulch. keep moist.( Hydrangea's like water). .

My stems aren't strong and my blooms hang on the ground. Is this normal?

Asked by: Tricia
Hi Tricia, It is common for young Hydrangeas to droop in the first year as they are focused on growing. You can pinch them back in the spring to help them out. Once they get a couple of years old, they will not droop. If you have any other questions, feel free to call us at (734) 654-7485. Thanks, Hailee

I would like to plant the little lime in front of my south facing house

I get full sun beginning 11:30 am. I guess this is not a good choice? I live in Zone 7.
Asked by: Lisa
Hi Lisa, You are in the correct zone to grow the Little Lime ColorChoice Hydrangea. Hydrangeas do need a lot of light to bloom well, however, the heat of afternoon sun can be too much for them. If there is an area in your yard that is full sun in the morning and partly shaded in the afternoon, that would be the best place for your Little Lime. If you have any questions please call our hotline at (734) 654-7485. Best regards, Fallon

I couldn't find these in stock anywhere in town so I google them and found I could order them from HD. I'll admit I was skeptical about ordering plants through the mail but the results were great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little Lime Hydrangea - 1 gal. Shrub Little Lime shrub is a smaller form of 'Limelight'. Little Lime hydrangea will mature to about 4 feet tall, with a spread of 4 feet. This plant is sold online and arrives in protected packaging. The hydrangea arrived very healthy is ready for planting. Even though the plant is not yet blooming it should mature to have large lime green blooms that will turn bright pink later on in the season. Suggested planting in sun and hardiness zones are 3-9 so this plant should be great in SC. Suggested treatments for this species will be to continue the Proven Winners fertilizers and irrigate with WaterWise kit. Instructions also suggest applying a thick mulch around the root zone in winter to protect it in exposed locations or colder zones. I’m looking forward to all the large blooms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impressive for plant delivery The hydrangea showed up packaged surprisingly well, the pot all held in place and the branches with space inside the box. It came pretty small, no flowers yet, so I can't tell what it is really going to look like. But I've had it outside still in the pot for a while with the heat and rain and it is holding up really well so far. Looking forward to getting this planted and seeing it bloom!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Shrub This was my first experience buying plants online and I was skeptical. I was curious how it would ship and whether the quality would be good. The shrub was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. It was nicely pruned and appears healthy. The soil was a bit dry but not concerningly so. I watered it and am ready to find the perfect spot to plant it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Add some color.. This was the first time getting a plant through the mail. I was a bit nervous until I saw how it was shipped, as shown in the picture. It arrived in perfect condition. As you can see, it came as a small, non budding plant. After removing the plant and decided to put it in a location that receives equal amount of sun/shade throughout the day. Unfortunately, during that same time, the house was getting painted and through the carelessness of the painters, the plant was trampled. I have no doubt it would have grown like it should have. At this point I will replace it and move on.
