Customer Questions & Answers

Is it alright to plant in Houston, Texas now, first week of March?

Asked by: Nana
Hi Nana, Yes, you can go ahead and plant this buddleia in Texas now. It will be dormant coming from our greenhouse in Michigan, but if you get them planted in Texas, they will start getting leaves and growing within 2-3 weeks. We recommend planting it in an area with at least 6 hours of sun a day and where it will be in well-drained soil. If you have any additional questions, feel free to call us at (734) 654-7485. Thanks, Hailee

Can I plant Lo and Behold Buddleia right now Celina, Ohio Zone 5?

Prime planting time for Lo and Behold Buddleia (Butterfly Bush)?
Asked by: Dorothy
Dear Dorothy, Good question! Yes, not only is now a good time to plant Lo & Behold® 'Pink Micro Chip' since she will still have a couple of months before frost for her roots to establish, but Zone 5 is in her hardiness comfort zone as well. A good time release fertilizer will help as well and I would recommend our Proven Winners Premium Continuous Release Plant Food. This is a real easy to use fertilizer that will help establish a good root system for her at this time of the year. I hope this helps! Happy Gardening! Vicki-PW
