Probably not. The bag says it has fertilizer in the mix. However, I did add some organic fertilizer to the soil before planting and the resulting plants are WOW!

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 90 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best potting soil I have ever used! I bought 5 bags of this in early spring and used it for all my container planting this year. All I can say is WOW! I planted 3 tomato plants in a half whiskey barrel and have such an abundance of tomatoes that I have been giving them away by the bag full! The plants are so big they have outgrown the 6 foot stakes and are falling over. My planters with petunias, mandevilla and hibiscus are also doing extremely well. I did add some organic plant food to the soil before planting but nothing else. July 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Potting Soil I used this Proven Winners All Purpose Potting Soil to plant my roses in pots two months ago and they are doing great with flowers blooming all over the bush. I then used this to transplant my "Patio Princess" tomato plants, which I grew from seed, into 12 inch pots 3 weeks ago. The tomato plants are growing so fast I'm amazed. They now have at least 6 small tomatoes growing on each plant and a lot more flowers. I will definitely buy this potting soil again next year. May 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Don't need a green thumb. I'm no friend to greenery, but I like to try. My neighbor gave me a little dish garden with four different small plants when I moved in, and a year later they were still thriving, so I thought I would separate them into their own little homes using this potting soil. I don't know if it's the potting soil or just sweet relief from the cramped quarters but they are really taking off! It seems to have just the right blend to retain moisture in a smaller container, but without being soggy for too long to attract gnats, which is a problem I've had in the past. I got such a big bag I'll just have to get more plants. Naw... that would be cruel to the plants. ;) September 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good potting soil I am definitely not a professional gardener so I don't know if my opinion on potting soil is great. I can only say what my results have been so far. When you pour to soil out of the bag, it appears to be quality soil with no debris mixed in. It does have white pellets mixed in which I'm assuming is fertilizer of some sort. The bag the soil came in says it can feed your plants for up to six months so I guess that's where the fertilizer comes in. So far, the potted plants I planted in this soil seems to be doing well but it's only been a short time. Time will tell if the plants continue to thrive but I don't anticipate any problems. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Soil So far, so good. It doesn't hold water like the Expand and Plant Sheets but it's great in combination. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent potting soil Each bag of potting soil weighs 27 pounds and is shipped in it's own box with handles. There was no debris in the soil and I believe it will work well in my raised garden on my deck. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Results Products by Proven winner, including both their soils and plants, are consistently excellent. I had great results last year and will order more for this season. An added benefit is having the soil delivered to the house, saving me from having to carry it home from the store. The container soil I used last year can be used again this year with the addition of compost and fertilizer. It's a beautiful consistency and much different than many less expensive soils. It contains few if any weed seeds. It's a very good investment. March 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice dark soil this soil is nice and dark without lot's of extra's? I added some more perlite to the mix. you get what you pay for most of the time! October 12, 2016
