The drill is ok, it can do the job but with a few caveats: It is a small drill, very compact, and can drill small holes its a better solution to drill small holes in PCBs, heatsinks, etc than mounting a regular drill in a stand as it will provide more precise control The mechanism to secure the drill so that it does not rotate around its axis (left right direction on the table) does not hold the drill well enough and consequently it can be difficult to align precisely as it might "walk" away from the target The drill is loud The chuck and vise should be standard accessories The TBH looks like a better drill, but is not available on 120v US, and has a larger minimum drill size (.5mm). You can still buy the TBH if you minimum drill size is of that size, but you need to buy a up-converter transformer

It is accurate with respect to runout (using the optional chuck), however, the motor speed varies considerably during operation. The drill press is quite loud since the belt used is not very good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed - sturdy, accurate, and compact. When my cheap no-brand mini drill press (unsurprisingly) broke, I knew I had to invest in a quality drill. This one is perfect for my small metal studio. Relatively quiet, obviously well-built. No shake in the bit - gives me the extremely accurate drilling I need. Came with a great instruction/care manual as well. Highly recommended!
