Other tests only go up to 5PPM or so, but a lot of us have iron levels much higher.

Most kits I'm seeing will test for iron and bacteria, but not lead. I am looking for a reasonably priced kit that tests for lead. Any suggestions?

Bought for Iron test but the "white" patch on tab was already discolored to a light shade of blue (indicating some iron) before testing. Bought a different brand which worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good purchase The kit used to test my well water and water inside my home gave me the results I didn't want to see, I needed a new softener and an iron filter, which I now have. Test kit was well worth purchase price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item! After getting conflicting water hardness readings from my water district and plumber, I bought this kit and it showed a higher hardness for my water. It showed 30 grains vs. the 23 I had been told by the district. The 30 grains agreed with my plumber's test and it agreed with my cranking up the hardness needs on my water softener......the water got softer. I'm doing all this because my softener needs this info to do the right level of softening. Good purchase and I'm glad I did it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well and confirmed other results This water test kit worked well and was simple to use and understand. Kit would not work for a color blind person. All one needed was a timer or watch to time each test. Having double number of test strips allowed for any mistakes and gives a second chance to do the test over at a later date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use The kit comes with materials for two tests. The intention is to run the same test twice, but I used it to measure the effectiveness of my water softener and filtration system by testing the water as it enters the house and again after the softener. The kit was easy to use, and the results indicated that it is accurate, in that the After results were better than the Before. A reasonable investment for some peace of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked just as expected I needed to test my water, pre- and post-water softener, to confirm the levels of hardness and iron. This is a quality product. Instructions are very good. Results were definitive. Will purchase again when needed.
