We used this thick nap on our tongue and groove pine ceiling and covered in the grooves with little brushing.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mountainmama02 can't believe I'm reviewing a paint roller...
I chose this roller based on the preferences of my dad, who paints houses for a living, and was going to do a project for me, too. He wanted this specific size, and I knew most of his brushes are this brand. When he came down with something and wasn't able to make it over, it was up to me...I have very little painting experience, and what little I have was over two years ago, and under Dad's instruction and "supervision". So, with all that said, this roller cover held allot of paint and covered very well compared to my memory of the wooster brand we used together last time we painted('course I was also using much better paint itself this time). I opted to throw mine away after my room was finished, just because I HATE cleaning up after paint(I'd throw away my brushes if I could!!), but I think you would be able to clean it and reuse it if you wanted to.

We bought this rather expensive roller to paint the walls in my new house. Previous owners covered the walls with stucco so we needed something for rough surfaces. It worked okay, but you still needed to exert a lot of force on the wall in order to get even coverage. Even then, we had to retouch a few parts. The roller worked OKAY but I kind of wished we'd had invested in something more cut out for the job.
