Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 41 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by When you roll a wall it is fluffy going up and smooth going down They leave a rough finish on a painted wall by falling apart June 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor application, leaves white fibers in paint I've never had this problem with rollers in the past, and that includes those that come with the "value pack" type deal at Home Depot. Rolling is supposed to be the fun, easy part of the job after all the prep work. With every one of these rollers I've used (after this 3 pack I'll never buy another Purdy roller), they left white fibers in the paint. This made rolling a tedious and frustrating task, and took double the time and paint. I always get the Behr Marquee for one-coat coverage so that I don't have to do another coat, and these stinkin' rollers defeated the purpose and extra money I spent on the Marquee paint. Even after 2 coats I have to go back over some spots. Additionally, the application was overall very poor. It was impossible to get the paint evenly distributed on these rollers, and always felt clumpy. Never again! June 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by best paint roller ever This roller has better quality then any other average roller. You don't have to worry about leaving residuals like other cheap rollers do. This roller not only has a better quality but it absorbs more paint for you to keep rolling! July 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst roller covers I ever used I bought these based on the words Contractor Pack and the price being on the expensive side that they would be great roller cover was the inference I took from the packaging because contractors use them. That is not the case in my experience. First is that the paint ( Behr satin) clots on the roller no matter how many times I tried to distribute the paint through the roller cover in the tray. It actually has the end farthest from the roller frame wipe over and cause rough edges 1/2" along the very end of the cover making any close swipe near a corner or trim impossible after cutting in. I used one of the three pack and have no way to return them so I will throw the other 2 away, I wouldn't even GIVE them to someone else to ruin their project. Avoid these roller covers, buy some other brand! October 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Requires repaint I am a devoted Purdy brush guy so it hurts me to write a negative review on one of their other products. I purchased two of these 18 inch wide rollers. This first one used had a pronounced seam going around the entire length of the roller, so no matter how much paint I would load up I ended up with gaps in the painting due to this seam. I took a gamble and used the second roller and experienced the same exact problem as the prior poster had mentioned, a distinct wobble. My wife was spotting me during the ceiling paint process (to ensure complete coverage on a 12 ft ceiling) and she kept saying to go back over this area and that area- I couldn't understand why because I constantly maintained a wet roller and was applying each layer down smoothly and evenly using a 9 foot pole. It was the roller wobble effect that caused an on-off-on-off pattern on the ceiling. We woke up this morning and have confirmed that indeed I will need to repaint my ceiling due to this pattern. I wish I could include a photo but the white color does not properly portray the defects that I'm seeing. I paid a high end price on a high end product, unfortunately it didn't deliver. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Poor Product I have been using your tools for 40 years and I love the idea of the new bag but the are coming apart. I am painting with latex.I dont know if I got a bad batch or they are a poor roller cover I always promote your brushes. Ilove how they perform, but these covers say lint free and they are coming apart. Please make this right. sincerly johnnie pierce per pierce.s painting and remodeling.also bare with me I am new with a computer Thank you. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality, wobbles, poor application Rollers are poor quality. They don't hold their shape and feel like a flat tire flopping on your ceiling. They don't track, I could feel the roller wobbling side to side. The application of the paint was uneven and repeating patterns could be seen in the finish. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT March 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consistently dependable product I am a self proclaimed "Homer" with a long history of being extremely particular and doing my own painting. This roller cover is my "go to" cover for all paint surfaces and paint types and textures. Lint free, it absorbs product evenly and "lays off" paint uniformly on the wall making it easy to obtain the coverage I want. It is easy to remove excess paint at the end of the project and they can be washed for re-use if desired. At this price point I consider them a minimal expense of the project and usually toss them after one use. September 30, 2014
