Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by nothinsevereasy1 I have used Purdy products for over 20 years and this I the first time I have ever had a problem. These covers are the worst I have ever used. Paint retention is alright, but the coverage is terrible as the cover material separates and leaves patterns on the surface that require second and sometimes a third coat to correct. Don't know about cleanup as I discarded each covers as soon as I finished the application in hopes that it was just a bad cover.... Wrong!!! Went thru the entire 3 pack in hopes it would get better but ended up buying another brand to apply the finish coats.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hannah Good rollers, fair price.
Rollers worked very well with latex paint. I used them for both ceiling and wall application and they held a lot of paint and rolled smoothly with very little drip/spray.
My biggest complaint is that because the fibers are so long, it took a few "loads" of paint to get an even coverage while you were rolling. Just be careful on your first few rolls that you are getting complete coverage!

They leave a rough finish on a painted wall by falling apart

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Laura Poor application, leaves white fibers in paint
I've never had this problem with rollers in the past, and that includes those that come with the "value pack" type deal at Home Depot. Rolling is supposed to be the fun, easy part of the job after all the prep work. With every one of these rollers I've used (after this 3 pack I'll never buy another Purdy roller), they left white fibers in the paint. This made rolling a tedious and frustrating task, and took double the time and paint. I always get the Behr Marquee for one-coat coverage so that I don't have to do another coat, and these stinkin' rollers defeated the purpose and extra money I spent on the Marquee paint. Even after 2 coats I have to go back over some spots. Additionally, the application was overall very poor. It was impossible to get the paint evenly distributed on these rollers, and always felt clumpy. Never again!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ccerda best paint roller ever
This roller has better quality then any other average roller. You don't have to worry about leaving residuals like other cheap rollers do. This roller not only has a better quality but it absorbs more paint for you to keep rolling!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Fatpainter123 Worst roller covers I ever used
I bought these based on the words Contractor Pack and the price being on the expensive side that they would be great roller cover was the inference I took from the packaging because contractors use them. That is not the case in my experience. First is that the paint ( Behr satin) clots on the roller no matter how many times I tried to distribute the paint through the roller cover in the tray. It actually has the end farthest from the roller frame wipe over and cause rough edges 1/2" along the very end of the cover making any close swipe near a corner or trim impossible after cutting in. I used one of the three pack and have no way to return them so I will throw the other 2 away, I wouldn't even GIVE them to someone else to ruin their project. Avoid these roller covers, buy some other brand!

I am a devoted Purdy brush guy so it hurts me to write a negative review on one of their other products. I purchased two of these 18 inch wide rollers. This first one used had a pronounced seam going around the entire length of the roller, so no matter how much paint I would load up I ended up with gaps in the painting due to this seam. I took a gamble and used the second roller and experienced the same exact problem as the prior poster had mentioned, a distinct wobble. My wife was spotting me during the ceiling paint process (to ensure complete coverage on a 12 ft ceiling) and she kept saying to go back over this area and that area- I couldn't understand why because I constantly maintained a wet roller and was applying each layer down smoothly and evenly using a 9 foot pole. It was the roller wobble effect that caused an on-off-on-off pattern on the ceiling. We woke up this morning and have confirmed that indeed I will need to repaint my ceiling due to this pattern. I wish I could include a photo but the white color does not properly portray the defects that I'm seeing. I paid a high end price on a high end product, unfortunately it didn't deliver.
