Purdy just makes real, quality, paintbrushes! Quality in the way grandpa talked about it... Not the way we think of it now. It can seem hard to pay a little more when you are a DIY'er, but these brushes give you long lasting performance so they prove thier worth to you time and again. Money well spent! These brushes always feel good in your hand, and are comfortable to work with. Trust me, after 10 hours you WILL feel a difference! I've worked around a lot of pro's and looked to see what they use. The only brush I've seen in thier bag has been Purdy.
I also love the fact that they are 100% made in the USA. It gives me a lot of pride to know we can still make tools of this caliber!
PS. My wife even LOVES to paint with these brushes!

This is by far the best cut-in brush I have ever used, nice straight lines. Only down fall it doesn't hold a lot of paint but worth re dipping more often .

These are the best brushes! I have been slowly making my way through my new-to-me 1970s split-level, painting trim, baseboards and doors a pristine white. Cleaning, sanding, cleaning, priming, painting. And all with these amazing brushes. I have been learning a lot as I go, but one thing is certain- these will remain my go-to for always!

This is an expensive brush, but it does a great job of covering small, difficult to reach areas with paint. I cleaned it promptly with Krud Kutter, and the bristles are still clean, soft, and pliable.

I had never purchased this type of brush. But using it was so easy and the stain/polyurethane went on so easy and didn't drip like some of the other brushes I've used. I'm glad I asked an associate for help. Otherwise, I would have purchased the wrong brush or a poor quality one.
