What to do when card is full?

Asked by: chito
I let it run and overwrite older loops. If I have something to keep I protect it. You can also get a card with more memory. I have a 32 GB in mine now, a 64 gave a memory error on startup.

After its been plugged in to your computer or the wall , unplug it , then you can set the time by hitting the menu button twice.

Its a piece of junk - I bought 2 and both had the same problem with poor reliability - the screen would trip out and show a maze of pixels, even after clearing the microSD. Even when the microSD was only 1/2 full. I tried working with there customer support, the this dash cam was not even on their support website yet. I had the first one in use for over a month, the second one for just days. Bought the second just before the problems started. I expect that you will have a lot of returns from unhappy customers, it is definitely worthless.

Reports online of not looping recording so it has to be manually cleared. You can't get into settings without shutting off the record mode which isn't obvious. Settings and instructions aren't clear, I don't really know what will happen if I get into an accident. Lastly, and most hilarious is a spelling error where instead of an option to reset factory settings....you have to choose "Fartory Settings". Jesus...did you even try? I bought this on clearance for $25 and it's still not worth it. It's going back.l

SD card is too small and filled up soon. Hooked to computer to delete files to clean up microcard for reuse. Files will not delete. Says deleted, then re-appear when you scan card again. Company gives no help to resolve. Do a search and find out that this item has many problems, including short life span and company will not help resolve. There are only five videos from the first week of ownership saved on it despite the camera displaying multiple video saves due to G-shock activation (which I cannot explain why it sensed any g-shock driving on a flat road with no defects). When I try to delete the videos, it does nothing. When I manually activate and save recordings, they are not on the card. Camera freezes when trying to review the videos on the camera display. One major indicator that this is junk: the menu has a FARTORY RESET option. Yes, that is fartory, not a typo. HomeDepot and Q-See should be paying me for how disappointed I am with this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Decent video, didn't last long. Purchased this Dash cam from my local HD, it hasn't been more than 2 months, and it has stopped working. The screen display will not turn on if the memory card is in. Once the memory card is removed it turns on fine, as soon as you push the memory card in it shuts off again, I tried to turn it on, reset with the top button, reset all options, nothing works. Although when it did work it was a decent dash cam video quality wise for the money. Cheap little speaker but better than no speaker. Too bad it failed on me or I would of gave it a 4 out of 5 for the money that is cost compared to other cameras online.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I purchased this camera, installed it according to the directions and got it set up. Four days after I had it something blew out of a vehicle on the highway. This camera didn't even record it, it divides video into segments and it cuts out parts of the segments in between so there's about a 10 second gap a video loss. So when I reviewed the video, it got the trash flying out of the truck but in the video cut off and the recording picks up where I have the driver of the other vehicle pulled over to the side of the highway. I will be returning this camera as soon as possible as it's already costing me money. This camera is essentially a piece of junk. I left a comment on the manufacturer's Facebook page, they never even replied to me which tells me that they truly care.

After a month or so, it starting giving me a message each time it came on saying that the SD card was full. I could not figure out how to delete to create more space. I have not touched it in a couple of months.

I bought this as a completely spur of the minute purchase primarily because of the price and it being HD. It was easy to setup, it had minimal instructions but they were very complete and well organized. The 8 Gb card will record about 50 minutes of HD video. It was a little under 50 using the 1 minute loops and almost 51 minutes using the 3 minute loop. Each loop is retained until you fill up the whole card when it then starts recording over previous loops not protected. I have not checked that out, but it wouldn't let me delete protected loops unless I unprotected them, so it is probably going to work that way in recording. The pictures on the small screen are viewable, but tiny. On the Windows PC they looked HD and played back very well. I was unable to get the no loop videos and the 5 minute loop videos to playback. On the camera trying to playback either caused the camera to lock up for a minute or two. Trying to playback for the non-loop and 5 minute loop on the PC gave an error message about the file being corrupted. I thought maybe the loops might miss some video when stopping one loop and starting the next loop so I did some testing. My testing on that was done by pausing the first loop as close as I could get to the end before it finished and disappeared, then taking a screenshot. I then took another screenshot at the beginning of the next loop. The first 3 minute loop completed while I was at a stop light with traffic crossing in front of me at 45 mph. There was approximately 2 feet difference between where the reference vehicle was at the end of the first loop and the begining of the second loop. At 45 mph that means there were 3 hundreds of a second difference. Because the video in the loop, when finished playback, goes away I took several tries to get as close to the end of the first loop as possible (.03 seconds is pretty close), so on that basis I am confident that you won't miss anything using the loops. The power cable for the car is long enough for you to snake it from the power plugin around the side and across the top to where the camera is. It worked well at late evening but I did not try the parking guard motion detector and thankfully didn't try the Gsensor impact either.
