QT474-452-5 is an 4 Channel system offering real-time CIF recording on all channels where you can watch playback with the best image quality from the four high-resolution cameras. You can simultaneously record, watch live footage, playback footage, backup files and remotely monitor and manage your DVR on your computer network or the Internet without any recording loss. Store videos onto the pre-installed 500GB hard drive and back up onto a USB flash drive for safe storage. Configure your DVR to send email notifications to 3 different addresses about motion detection, hard drive capacity or video loss. Whether you are out of state or out of the country, know what's happening 24/7 via PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android or BlackBerry. These weatherproof cameras capture 600TV lines of resolution and boast 1/3 in. enhanced infrared cut sensors, allowing for a higher quality picture, accurate colors, and better image quality in the day or night than most standard surveillance cameras. It is equipped with 36 infrared LED lights that can record at a distance of up to 100 ft. in the dark. The camera is also equipped with a 5.0mm lens, which provides a 50-55 degree radius of vision. Number of cameras ?

Will this unit accept more cameras or is this the maximum it will handle? Also if it will handle more are they available thru Home Depot ?

Answer: 
Hi Clyde, this system will not accept any more than 4 cameras. The total number of cameras you can have per system, is determined by the number of channels the system has.
I have provided a link to the manufactures website. This link will give you additional information about the total number of cameras and system requirements.

Hi Clyde, this system is maxed out at 4 cameras. You can not add to this system. The total number of cameras per system is determined by how many channels the systems has.

The cables for each camera are 60ft each. You can extend them longer please see recommendations below.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK but not great It is better than 400TVL camera system. Day time is better but night time, you can not easily see 100ft as advertised. I have installed camera on the second floor level, day time was OK but could not read license plate number of the car parked on driveway. Night time i think you can see max 30/40ft. I will lower the camera level to first floor and see if it makes any difference (will update the review). Set up was easy, only thing missing is a easy way to shutdown the system (switch). It is installed behind my firewall and a special router for me to view it using WIFI. Have not tried monitoring remotely. I will update this post once it is completely installed. If you want clear picture than go with 720TVL. March 6, 2013
