Answer:
No. The cameras need to be plugged into an outlet. The monitor can go wireless for a few hours but will need to be recharged often. I prefer to keep it plugged into the charger.

Answer:
no - all cameras need to be connected via wire, but they are VERY long - I for one would fear that a wireless system would tend to draw a very large battery charge, and would not be easy to keep up

YES! We hooked ours up to our 60" flat screen and the images are crystal clear - we can then swap the input from TV to the system for seeing what is going on outside or see who is at the door.

Answer:
this is an 8 channel system, so more cameras can be added - as long as the system says it will take that certain q-see camera, I don't see where you would have any issues with their products being added. The cameras are available

Answer:
Hi Nick,
Yes this camera is IP66 rated. As far a s Q-See cameras, you can connect many of our Q-See cameras to this system as long as they are not SDI or IP cameras, those will work only with NVR and SDI systems.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazingly CLEAR & Motion activated! This system is amazing. Quite often with video systems, you get a grainy picture on screen. We hooked our system up to our 60" flat screen TV, and the images could not be any clearer. We love that it is an 8 channel system, so we can add cameras if needed later on as well. The system is very easy to install and hook up. I will require you to do an "attic crawl" for the wires, but they are VERY long and have pretty much no problem reaching the system once pulled thru the wall and connected. We have a 2600sqft. home, and the attic is massive, yet, each camera managed to reach the main box. And, if for some reason, you do need extra wires, for longer lengths, they can be purchased. My husband and I both installed the system together (although, it can be tackled by a single person - but getting the camera angles right, might be tricky without a 'spotter'), and it really was the easiest electronic system we have ever installed and used! The system was easy to store as well being just slightly larger than a MAC mini computer system - so no great space is need for storage. I love that we can upgrade it to more cameras. I love that it is motion activated. I love that it is crystal clear. I love that it has a large amount of storage, and that it is VERY easy to review. There is absolutely nothing that we would change about this system! You really cannot go wrong with the Q-see brand! December 30, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by so so, doesn't do much good in general its not to bad, in the daylight cameras are clear and bright.. at night, well might as well not even have them on.. plus if you are a comcast customer, and have a modem phone unit forget it.. port forwarding doesn't work, so can't get images in real time with the app, well god knows why.. not worth trying to get customer service, its a joke.. but then what camera system company isn't.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home security and baby monitor I have a Q-See set up at home and helped my sister with this one as she's an expectant mother, not only do they have the home security provided by this but they have the peace of mind of being able to picture in picture the camera, or when ones out they can use their phone to check in on the cameras. Setup is very easy, everything is included that you'll need. Hooking it up to a TV and your internet router, run the cables and secure the cameras and you're good. I probably spent more time planning the positioning and planning the wire runs than actual install. March 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good deal Love it Works great for me & my family.. Clear viewing in the day & night August 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lorex Security Camera System Great for simple coverage. It was easy to install, even for dummies. However, the positioning of the cameras is limited and they often go out of range, so that one camera shows and the other is black, even though mine are at the same location separated by 3 feet. Otherwise, and overall, it is a good product and offers some piece of mind. January 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NOT WORTH IT The DVR makes a lot of noise constantly, and 1 of the cameras doesn't work as half the lights are out. Its not worth repacking and sending back to get the camera replaced. That's the problem with the internet. The other 3 cameras work but the night vision doesn't work if a motion sensor light comes on outside. February 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleased with purchase We have not yet fully installed in new construction house but we tested cameras and cables before putting cables in home under construction. The cameras worked great. We turned out lights and night vision worked well. Of course you have to run the cables from outside - thankfully we were working with an open ceiling that had only been framed. Took 4-5 hrs to run and secure cables for 8 cameras. Probably would have been 2-3x as long if it was existing home and you had to crawl thru attic. Instructions were easy to follow. Looking forward to using once we move in to our new home. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Cameras The cameras I received did not have the 7" monitor, so I had to find one that was compatible. Once all that was figured out, the cameras were easy to set up and use with ease. It even can be viewed remotely from your pc or phone. Night vision is very easy to see and looks quite bright outdoors. January 5, 2015
