Product Overview

Out-of-focus images with off-colored surroundings are a thing of the past when you record what matters the most using a real-time Q-SEE NVR. This powerful 4-channel NVR records video in crystal clear 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) and offers four built-in POE ports, eliminating the need to run separate power and video cables for each camera. Easily connect the four cameras, provide power to the camera and directly to the NVR or access remotely through network or over the Internet, and take advantage of resolution that allows you to, at reasonable distances, recognize actions, objects and even license plates (if the plate is stationary). With a recorded image size of 1920 x 1080, these IP cameras offer clarity unlike any other conventional surveillance camera available to the consumer. The larger 1080p image size means more pixels, which translates to even more clarity and detail on the screen. Constructed of sturdy aluminum, it's also built to last, with a weatherproof and rustproof housing making it ideal for indoor or outdoor use. This system comes with a pre-installed 2TB HDD and easy set up plug-and-play (cameras). Remote access from PC, MAC or smart phone is available to up to 20 people at a time.

  • 4-camera surveillance system; guards every corner of your home/business
  • 1/3 in. color CMOS sensor; offers clear and detailed images
  • 2TB HDD; provides a large space for storing your data
  • H.264 compression technology; compresses video format and converts it to H.264 format
  • Records remote or local cameras
  • 4-power over Ethernet (POE) ports
  • HDMI port for high resolution viewing
  • Free applications for iPhone, iPad, and Android
  • Email alerts with incident snapshots
  • Use as standalone camera or integrate with Q-SEE NVR

Answer:
No, they are IP cameras, which rquire an ethernet cable hook up of some sort. But, you can hook them up to a wireless bridge via a power over Ethernet adapter.
I used WUMC710 Linksys bridge and a WS-POE-8-12V found on amazon to hook my cameras up. They then talk to my wireless router which has the NVR plugged in. Then you go into the NVR and manually put in the IP address of the camera which you can Read More

Then you go into the NVR and manually put in the IP address of the camera which you can find out through your router access list. Was really simple to do. And my remote cameras were all visible through the NVR's monitor.
So it does add to the cost, but my system is working great. Read Less

Unfortunately not. When an item is on a Special Buy of the Day, it can only be purchased for that special price during that 24 hour period. After it is over, you can only purchase the item at the regular price.

I am not Tech savvy. This is listed as plug and play. Does this have to be plugged into a PC? If it connects to a wireless router what distance will it operate?

Answer:
this NVR will obtain IP address from DHCP server. you have to scan network for your NVR ip such as 192.168.1.2 ,3 ,4 ,5 etc. or you may attach monitor and configure it manually at settings tab.

"Plug and Play" may be misleading to some. If you are not tech savvy, this may be intimidating to you. However, if you read the instructions carefully before proceeding, you can do this! This is a hard-wired system, whereby you must run the included video cables from the cameras to the video recorder. It cannot be used with a wireless router. For me, this entailed finding a central location for the recorder, then determining where the cameras will be mounted, keeping in mind the length of the cables and the routing of them. I then needed to hide the cables, or route them in a way that they would not be unsightly. I had to run them behind exterior molding and walls, into the basement, then back up the wall and into the location of the recorder. Very labor intensive. Mounting complete, it is then necessary to setup the system by plugging a computer monitor into the recorder temporarily, just for the setup process. Follow the setup instructions. They are very complete, but you must follow them exactly. After the setup process, download the app to your phone or tablet. You may then access the cameras from your smartphone or tablet anywhere in the world. To make setup easier, BEFORE installation of the cameras, I plugged in a computer monitor to the recorder, then one camera. I did the setup process, which took some time, then when all was setup properly, I did the actual installation of the cameras. Read Less

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not very good I'm my third time having to return the NVR unit. He either does not respond or let me log in. When it does work, the interface is slow and hard to use. Not what I expected at all. May 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product and Customer service This product was shipped directly from the manufacturer. The box was heavily damaged by the shipper. Even the NVR box inside was damaged. The Manufacturer packaged all the components so well that none of them appeared to be damaged. The setup was straightforward. The software and user interface, email notifications, and alarms, worked as advertised. The cooling fan in the NVR was excessively noisy so I returned this product to Home Depot. Q-See and Home Depot provided me with excellent customer service. February 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap china made products The biggest problem i have with this NVR that is response time. When connected locally via 100mb network it works very slow. To search or rewind recorded video takes unreasonable long delay 5 to 20 seconds before NVR response than i start to have jumping images. When viewing locally this nvr will skip images. You cannot get smooth view with full resolution with four cameras. This NVR CPU is underpowered. I purchase this NVR a month before Christmas a month later camera start showing blurry image. Smos sensor at cameras are low quality and month later starting to fade. I have second Bosch DIVAR-3000 that has very similar web interface but response is immediate. Q-See have not even removed Chinese language but put English template over it. Before web interface starts at login screen every time i connect i have to read Chinese for 5 seconds. See attached image with web interface. January 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tree review I was hoping these would go on sale after Christmas at a deep discount but this will not be the case. Why, because none will be leftover. Another big general chain at the mall has a 49 light mode tree at 7.5 feet but half the tips and 48" base would be a generous specification. I should note that other trees posted ad has been around since 2009 so it may be a few years before this variable lighting option takes off to other trees. Also at 65" for the base you will find few, if any, 7.5's with a fuller base so be sure you have the room. This tree as unfolded will have a few bald patches for lights but some playing around with light and branch arrangements fixed that issue. Playing with all the colors is really nice. The color changing options tend to vary the colors to each light which is nice too. The three sections are pretty heavy. I would say each of the first two weighed more than the 6.5' we were upgrading from. The power coming on by just dropping in the sections though is nice. I have included photo's and a video link for all the modes. The one photo shows it beside the 6.5' I had upgraded from. The window bay the tree sits in is 84". Bottom line, if you can fit, find and afford this tree then get it. December 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor product and even worse customer suppport Forget it ! Don't even consider purchasing anything from Qsee. We have a DOA NVR and cannot get a hold of anyone at Qsee to get it returned/repaired. They hide behind web sites and voicemail. Tried all morning to reach someone with no luck. VERY POOR customer support. Buyer beware. November 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Seemed like good quality I haven't installed them yet, but they seem Very easy to connect since they are PoE Cameras and they are plug and play. December 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by NVR is quite noisy This NVR is replacing an existing NightOwl DVR setup. Running cables was fairly easy. RJ45 connectors are larger than BNCs used on DVR system. Pro: I like the way I can access NVR via a browser, and not have to use yet another program (Netviewer) to access the recording unit. CON: The only downside I have encountered thus far, as compared to the DVR the NVR is very noisy. It is much noisier than a laptop. Almost sounds like a desktop peecee. It can't be relocated to a closet or the attic because needs to be near 1) a monitor(to configure (NVR), and 2) hub for network connectivity. December 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice system!! I did my own installation replacing my old security cameras. Upgraded to the DVR system. Q-See tech support very helpful in setting up my system to view/monitor over the internet and phone. Day and night image quality superb. Extremely satisfied with this purchase and recommend if you're looking for a quality security camera system for your home or business. April 7, 2015
