What is the maxium distant from DVR to a camera in feet?

Asked by: Fuzzy
The maximum distance the security cameras can be from the recorder is a function of the camera cable rather than the camera itself. Using RG59 coax cable with BNC connections you can extend the camera out to 600 feet. Using RG6 coax cable with BNC connections you can run up to 1,000 feet.

How is the technical support? Is the software user friendly? How many times has the software changed recently?

I have another system that is likely similar to this and have gotten terrible technical support. Their software has changed with each DVR they have released so I have 3 different systems on 2 different programs. Logging in to the software is very difficult and once in the set up on both the DVR and the remote access section it's like a scavenger hunt trying to operate it.
Asked by: Samantha
The software used with my QT4760 system hasn't had an update in the past few months and it is easy to get updates if one is needed. My system is relatively easy to set up with the exception of remote viewing. I called tech support and they set me up right away. The manual is on line at the Q-SEE site or furnished with the unit on a DVD. I like this system and find it easy to use but that's my opinion. If I had it to do over again I'd of gotten the high definition system instead for better clarity but all in all I know who or what is in my area of viewing. I find this system better to operate and more reliable then Lorex.
