CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ADDS ROMANCE Bought mine last march, only i bit of a hiccup with the delivery being a little late. This tub is easy to move by myself and a few 2 x 4 runners. set up was easy and maintenance is a breeze. if you get into chemical imbalance its easy to drain and start fresh. since it is just 110 power it does take awhile to heat up so i usually change water on a Tuesday or wednesday so its ready for the weekend. My wife loves to soak at night with me and a glass of wine!! just a hint, about $20.00 worth of 2 inch PVC and joints at Home Depot and I made a scafoldind to sink in the tub when not in use to keep the cover proped up so it doesnt fill up with rain water. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spa...ahhhh! I purchased this spa in September of 2011, so I've had a few years to review. As you can see by my rating, I love it! Yes, the delivery was hairy: my driver was nice enough to get it into the backyard for me, and I wrangled a couple of neighbor boys to help me get it off the pallet. That said, it has worked (for me) flawlessly since day one. Since I'm really the only one who uses it except for the occasional visitor, I don't have to clean very often...about twice a year. But it runs well, and I run it all through the Upstate New York winters, with only a $20 or so increase in electrical cost. (I also switched over to all LED lighting, so that could have lowered the bill) I have a heavy duty cover with clip downs, so the winds don't take it away and the water stays more insulated. If you live in a colder climate, I would recommend this cover over the lightweight cover that comes with the spa. I don't use conventional spa chemicals, I use SpaSilver (colloidal silver) so the water never smells funny, and the silver does not evaporate out. Also, I check the particle content with a meter to make sure the water is still good...never goes above the content of our drinking water (around 240-250). Really the only caveat I have is that when the power goes off and I have to reset the temp, you kind of have to hunt around to hit the right part of the control panel...usually I end up going way down and then magically, I hit the right spot and the temp goes up...not enough of a problem to me to affect my rating. It takes me about 2 hours to empty it, clean it and refill. I refill with a hose that attaches to the water spigot in my laundry room and run it through the house and out to the patio...this way I can run hot water and don't have to wait too long for the water to heat up to the 104 degrees that I keep it at. I keep clean filters as well, and this goes a long way to keeping the water clean. In my case, I have not had to deal with customer service, so I'm not sure about the quality of that. I am thinking about the ozone filter for a boost, just haven't decided yet. As others have said, the jets are amazing strong for such a cute lil' spa. For my first spa purchase, I LOVE MY SPA...what else can I say?? September 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Great simply Plug and Play Spa After looking at several different types of Spas, I decided on the Capri Plug and Play. Spa size was important because of where it needed to be set up. During the month of July, the QCA Capri Spa (through The Home Depot) was on sale for $2,149.00. It doesn’t take much to research the market of Spas to appreciate there are not many available in that price range. I’ve never owned a spa before and after my outdoor deck was completed, the spa was an afterthought. Living in a tropical climate, the spa can be utilized most of the 12 months of the year. If you are considering this spa, here is what I found to be a reality alongside this spa. The Home Depot Company is NOT the only establishment offering this spa, but I enjoyed the fact that if there were major dilemmas, I knew it could be returned within 90 days without a problem. It takes about 30 days for delivery from the day you order this spa. For me, that was perfect time to get everything ready. Delivery was simple, and for me was curb side. I had a plan in place and was waiting for the delivery folks. They gave me a 4-hour delivery window on the day of delivery. This spa is truly a simple Plug and Play Spa. Fill it with water to the fill line (approx. 10” below top rim). Now, prior to the delivery, I had someone ask me if the spa came with an “Ozone Generator”. Of course I didn’t know what that was, nor did I know if it came with one. I looked into the purpose of an Ozone Generator and found out that it is an important addition in keeping the water clean and cutting down on spa chemicals. I ordered one direct from QCA’s website. The spa does come equipped with the set up and that too was a very simple undertaking. Remove the front panel, plug the Ozone generator in the back of the control brain, and hook up the clear plastic air tube. (botta-bing-botta-boom) Now, about so many people reporting that the manual documentation that comes with the spa is limited, that is very true. However, for me, when I checked the Home Depot website a few days after I ordered the spa, there were now Three (3) new links available for me to review. They were for the spa’s initial set up, the spa’s care and the spa’s manual. I simply bookmarked them for later references. However, nowhere could I find how to remove the front access panel to open it and remove the electrical plug and to set up the Ozone Generator. I will share this info. with you to possibly prevent any panel detaching exasperations. Simple unscrew the three (3) screws located at the very base of the panel, on the plastic strip that runs completely around the spa. When the screws are removed, gently lift up the panel, and pull it out from the bottom. You can also expect to find that the water TEMP indicator (Water Temperature Setting) is a very dim light. This is a sad, but a true fact. However, once you get more comfortable with the spa, settings are not changed all that often anyway. Also, since the cabinet is made of real wood (although thin), I highly recommend getting some wood sealer to apply on the wood for weather/water protection. I use Thompson’s Water Sealer and will apply it twice a year with a soft brush. One gallon should last a few years of applications. In ending, the Capri Spa comes with a heavy leather cover. It is a good quality cover, and is considered a soft top. To keep the water warm, in cooler weather, a hard top is favorably recommended. Here is what I did, and I hope it works for you as well. If you have the tools, are a little handy this may work for you. If not, maybe you know someone who can assist you with it. My Capri Spa was delivered with plastic ties banded on a wooden skid. Upon removing the spa from the wooden skid/pallet, I noticed that the spa rested on a ½” thick sheet of OSB Sheathing. I removed the full sheet from the 2”X 4” frame pallet using a pry-bar. The remaining pallet was trashed. Using a jig saw, I cut the OSB Sheathing to the shape of the spa top. Then, I placed it on the spa to ensure I had the right sizing. I then cut the top cover that I just made, in half. For me, two pieces are easier and lighter to set up and remove from the spa then one 8’ long cover piece. You can also attach a piano hinge to the two pieces to flip them in half for removal and set up.. The wood was then sanded and given two coats of exterior paint because the OSB Sheathing is NOT weather-proof. I now place the leather cover over the spa first, and then I take the two top wood pieces and place them on top of the leather cover. This serves as a better cover to hold the water temperature, but more important for me living in a tropical climate, protection for when we get heavy downpour rains. My outdoor spa is in a privacy fenced area so wind does not affect it directly. You may need to strap the wood top down if it’s out where the wind can weep havoc. August 10, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Its a good small hot tub As far as the size, I love it. It was just what I was looking for. It came scuffed really bad on the edges. So HD discounted the original price. It takes almost two days to heat up. So the second time we filled it. We filled it will hot water. I like it but there are a few things I think could be better. Like grab bars to help stand up. Its small enough that being older, I have to have my husband help me get out. I would never get in it with out someone there to assist me. But if I were still young, that would be no problem. I like the shape and the color. And it does what its suppose to do, it relaxes my muscles… So I am happy with it. Just wish it got warm faster and had some sort of grab bars. September 27, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great value This is my 3rd hot tub in 20 yrs. Very good for 1-2 people and water conserving. Cover is different to use than a hard cover and manufacturer offers no instructions or tips on use. After trial and error, found the right spot to mount cover locks and hope it is energy efficient. Used it for 2 months with no trouble and the fill and plug in feature is great. Motor does run a lot to heat to 101 degrees. Does not come with any chemicals. April 3, 2010
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by So far has been good great if you like mystery. from time of order, to receipt of product, began to make me wonder if I had been ripped off. Tub arrived in one piece, and works great, however, product information is severely lacking. is there a drain? is there a filter? if so where is it? even a swimming pool has at least a paper filter. what about maintenance chemicals? is there suppose to be a door on the skimmer? Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product, bad documentation Very nice spa. Simple to install and use IF you are already familiar with operation. Manual is worse than inadequate and raises more questions than it answers. Prepare to call mfr from getgo for guidance. Very roomy and pleasant for 2. Plenty warm at the 104 degree max. If not at full temp, dumping in boiling water raises overall temp fairly quickly. Not difficult to empty and clean. I recommend buying a low cost siphon pump to speed emptying. You will not find replacement filters except online. June 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Purchase We've Ever Made We've had our hot tub for 3 years now, and it's the best thing we've owned. Always at perfect temperature, easy to maintain and clean, runs dependably and efficiently. No extra outlets to install, and since we placed it on our deck we had to carry it upstairs....it was possible with just 2 men. Sitting in our hot tub is SO relaxing after a long day.
