Answer:
Ozone used in combination with a residual amount of Chorine or Bromine can effectively provide a clean, safe bacteria-free spa and dramatically reduce chemical use. The excess Ozone that rises to the spa water surface is recycled by QCA Spas' built-in ozone recovery system which most spa manufactures do not offer, to maximizes the sanitization in the spa.

From there we levered it up on cardboard packing material and managed to slide it over the carpet and tip it up into place. It was hard, but doable. I'd suggest a minimum of 3 people to put it in place and 4 if you got the help. It is awkward size & shape so a 4-wheel dolly to balance it on and roll it into position is almost a must. It is delivered crated up to curbside. So add an extra 100# or so at delivery. Hint: Leave the cardboard foam sheets in place until final positioning to prevent scratches. Read Less

Answer:
Converting to 240 volts will bump the heater from 1KW up to 4KW, so the tub will heat about four times faster. So basically, the heater's efficiency will be increased when used as a 240 volt tub.

You'll find stronger jets with a 240v over the 120v. I've had both and if you're looking for extreme jet pressure than go with the 240v. If you're fine with steady soothing jets than the 120v will do.

Answer:
The difference between the two voltages is that the 120 volt version will have a 1KW heater and the 240 volt will have a 4KW heater. The 4KW heater will heat up much faster than at 1KW.

Answer:
Can be placed on strong (supported) deck as it is sent. Total weight about 1,500 lbs. Can be counter sunk in the deck, (I have done this too). While I liked it counter sunk, I took it out and placed it on the deck. It is easier to use when surface mounted. Easier to service, easier to get in and out of, easier to clean when surface mounted. The small stairs are useful but not required.

These are insightful questions user and I thank you for asking MeRAK. There are conditions attached to your query as different water has variations in regards to metallic particles such as iron and ore and even gold. With this notion one may want to consider an experiment first; which is to fill the spa to the brim. Then immerse a beautiful mermaid who speaks the Sinhala language into the sink so to speak. Next you'll want to focus your attention as I am certain that you will be distracted by her shimmering nakedness and contain "all" of the overflow water into a vat or containment vessel. This is known as the "displacement". Now you will want to weigh the "displaced water" since this will allow you to compute the body mass index of the "Orientation" mermaid swimming in the Sicily Jet Spa. This process is one that scientists of a philosophic nature have used prior to todays times to determine if a Amber Brew wreath crown was counterfeit or not. Notice that I said Amber a Behr Marquee Odyssey paint that will go great in the room or even the deck that you install your NEW jet Spa from Home Depot. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great purchase Received spa in 9 days. The trucking company SAIA was great. Was able to track order easy. They called at set a delivery date easy for me and set it down in my driveway. Have been using it almost every day and it is more than i hoped for. It took about 8 hours to reach temp on first fill. All the jets are great one end sits lower than the other so you can change ends for different back areas. The temp stays hot at all times, I was worried that on 120v 15amp might not be enough.I did have a new 20amp line put in just for the spa. The cover that comes with it is very good and a must for dirt and temp control. I did call QCA spas to ask how to open side for access and they were a great help. He even gave me advice on how to remove filter. You can also call them at any time for help. Get one you won't be sorry. May 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comprehensive user review My wife and I ordered this 2-man spa about 6 months ago and use it daily. I thought it would be a good idea to review it now and let people know what its limitations are. First of all, the spa itself is heavy (300# empty) and appears well built. We had to wrestle it sideways but it just (barely) fits through a 30" door frame. Setting it up was a breeze. just fill and plug in. Most of the issues we have are with the practical limitations of a 2-man spa. The heater works on 110volts or 220. I strongly recommend the 220 electrical feed as 110 is feeble for the heater. It heats up OK, but the instant you turn on the air jets it cools down far too rapidly. You lose about a degree of heat every 6-7 minutes as the heater can't keep up. Wiring up to 220 will double the heat output of the ether and is strongly recommended. But this is not a design limitation, it is a limitation of how much heater current a 110v 30amp circuit can provide--hence the option for 220v. The second practical limitation is water volume. I'm a big guy with a small wife. The optimum water level is just over the lip of the skinner. Anymore water than this and the tub overflows when we both get in. The problem is that water evaporates quite quickly and falls below the skimmer lip often enough that additional water needs to be added at least after every 2 uses. I strongly recommend the Ozonator option. But even with that the low water volume means maintaining chemical balance is an almost daily chore. It takes awhile to get the hang of just how much chemical is needed to bring the water back to perfect. As it is I have been totally replacing all the water about once ever 40 days or so because we use the spa daily. A filter seems to last about the same amount of time before clogging up and needing replacement. I would also suggest getting the 'heavy' cover to trap heat in--especially if 220v is not an option. To summarize, mechanically the spa is a good deal. It appears solid and we have had no mechanical issues at all! But the limitations of the water volume in a two-man spa are such that in the future, I would probably go with a bigger spa. However, if space is limited, and you understand the limitations and extra work a 2-man spa will entail, then I recommend this one due to its solid workmanship. May 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great little tub Filter is small but I discovered that I can stack 2 filters together. I made a coupler from a 2`` barb fitting cut down to 1`` long, saving the center. This is a big help with filtration process. I use this tub everyday. :) January 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hot tub Had one of these for five years or so and loved it. Bought this one for our next home. Price is comparable to other places on the net except here you can buy the full system and I like that. The ozonator comes pre-installed -- that is good. October 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase Have had it about a month and have only missed two days without using it. Great way to relax at night. Jets are very powerful and the smaller size makes it easier to control the levels. September 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by one month out and LOVE this SPA!! Have had this spa for just about a month and love it. It heated up in one day, not three as some have confused with a cheaper spa of similar model. It also is very easy to maintain using the Spa-Frog system. Customer service is great, just ask for Susan! July 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sicily Spa - Great Home Addition Nice looking and comfortable spa for two. My wife and I are using it almost daily now. Controls are easy to work and understand and balancing the spa water is very easy. June 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One there were three Mermaid Sirens in the Spa. Possibly one of the most insightful products available. As a teacher of linguistics I can assure you that the Sicily 2-Person Jet Spa is one that you'll want in your home castle of Jokers and Jesters. Sit back relax and let the language of the bubbles call you to a place of relaxation and comfort. April 26, 2015
