Yes, with a 10" blade you can cut up to 3 3/4" thickness. Clean your water pump daily, after use. Keep the water tray full to the line with a good flow of water over the blade at all times while cutting.

Yes, the saw works great for pavers, except for the water pump, for which I had to order a spare. (See my review.) I used it to re-do an omnistone walk and my pavers were around 2 1/2" thick. The only time the saw bound was when the water pump cut out. I even used the stock blade, which wasn't top quality, but it still worked fine.

Answer:
No, the head does not pivot to the right or left. You get a jig that fastens to the table to make a biveled cut. You can also adjust the head of the saw for depth of cut that could change due to the thickness of the tile. The saw works great, plenty of power.

Yes, it can cut wine bottles. It is a great saw for that purpose. That is what I am using it for. You do need to get a good glass tile blade. Figure on about $100-$150 for the blade. A quality blade will last a lot longer. Also when using the saw, go very slow to get the best cut and to extend the life of the blade.
I can cut about 200-250 wine bottles before I need a new blade.

The motor is a 2HP wlth a belt that drives the blade, if you install a diamond blade on it I'm prety sure it will cut glass, but as always wear safety glasses and also a face shield. I used it on 1/2" tile and had no problem, also make sure you got water running at the blade.

I would think it could cut wine bottles, although I have never cut a wine bottle with the saw. With a good diamond blade it cuts porcelain without chipping the tile, I would think you would be able to make a clean cut on a wine bottle.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 95 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Read the reviews! You'll be glad you did. I like it a lot and would buy again. I bought this saw to cut granite slabs up to 2" thick. The saw has incredible power and works very smoothly. Don't figure on the blade that ships with the unit lasting long. The original blade that comes with it only lasted me 50 cuts approximately 4 to 8 inch long in 1-1/4" granite before it just wouldn't cut without huge pressure. Be aware, this saw is messy! You need to protect the area behind the saw for water overspray. My saw sprayed water 10 feet behind the saw although not in huge amounts. the rubber water spray deflector is a joke. For the 10 inch blade it is only about 3-1/2" inch long and 3" inch wide. I am making a deflector shield out of rubber and placing it on an adjustable stand behind the saw and have a flat concrete mixing pan below the back of the machine to catch all the overspray. Overall I am impressed with the power and smoothness of the sliding table operation. The owners manual is severely deficient in its information. It is badly overprinted with the ink and small details are not legible even with a magnifying glass. It also does not show the configuration of placing the saw on to the stand. It took a few minutes to figure out where the pins on the top of the stand went into the saw base frame, but once I figured it out I must say it is a stable system. The only problem is that if you move the saw after you set the saw on the base it pulls apart and has to be repositioned on the stand all over again. I believe that once you find a satisfactory location for the saw to stay without moving it, you'll find it to be very stable and at an appropriate working height. I found that in using it in poor lighting it was difficult to properly locate the dark colored granite for the cuts, so I recommend a stand light to provide extra visibility. As to the review I saw that claims parts are not available, I can not confirm, but as to having a problem with the blade going on crooked, that's just the ramblings of someone who is not experienced or cautious. Mine went on properly and yes, there is a tapered lip on the blade shaft, but all you have to do is look to see if it is all the way against the seat. There is no special effort necessary except looking at it to mount the blade properly and there is NO lack of power. It cuts effortlessly through 1-1/4" granite. Overall, I would buy again in a heartbeat, but I would be better prepared for the overspray. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderlul Flawless and versatile. Used it Hardie siding And yes I ripped 4 foot pieces July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tile saw The saw did what I expected. The only small issue is the water feed hose gets in the way sometimes with longer tile. April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value As other reviews have stated, assembly instruction were vague. It did assemble easily though. It functions well and cuts nicely. It was set on the lower speed from the factory. I have used it for a good number of cuts and it does a nice job. There seems to be a small vibration in the bearings or armature for the blade but at high speed it smooths out a bit. It would be nice if it could be folded to move, but at this price I can't complain. January 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job Directions are a little sketchy. Makes cutting brick pavers simple. Blade that comes with the saw didn't hold up as long as I had hoped. September 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw at a great price I purchased this saw to cut landscape blocks for a decorative wall and it worked great. I don't think you will find another saw this good for the money. September 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Highly recommend I read multiple reviews on this product and just like opinions everyone has one. I purchased this saw based on the quieter and more efficient belt driven 2HP motor compared to my older MK. I found the assembly process basic but lack of instructions in the owner manual was strange as a manufacturer stand point. I purchased the black widow blade in my order on experience of porcelain chip out. One major benefit this saw needs is a mobility factor, saw is cumbersome and needs casters for single use portability. That is my only complaint so far the saw has more than enough power with the correct size cord (remember voltage drop) to properly power through your expectations. June 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great, Powerful Wet Saw We purchased in December as our annual household Christmast gift. We've cut slate, ceramic, cultured stone, and rock tile with it. It has been amazing! We absolutely enjoy using it. It's powerful and we don't have a problem with kick back, bad cuts, chips or the like. What a great saw!!!! Thank you Home Depot for carrying a terrific product such as this. [There is one thing that we did when we assembled the stand which should be avoided. We bolted the casters on too tight and it affected the wheels turning freely. We since unbolted them and added washers to give the bolts clearance of the wheels/casters, and they work fine now.] March 19, 2009
