I bought this to grout my bathroom, pencil glass tile and 12x12 white marble. I was using regular grout not epoxy.
On the marble tile little pieces crumbled off the edges of the float when pushed against the sharp edges of the tile. The little green rubber pieces went into the grout and I had to pick them all out. I only noticed after I'd done most the walls so it took hours to fix.
This float is super stiff which it good to clear excess grout but bad when dealing with uneven surfaces like on pencil tiles.
With both tiles my cheap rubber float worked much better. I'm never going to use this float again. Even if I use epoxy grout I would have had the same issues.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BrandonP Worth The Extra Money
I grouted my laundry room with the "economy" sponge float. First one, the handle broke off after 2 sg ft, the second one did not easily take the grout off the tile. I went back to HD and purchased this epoxy float. Defintely worth the extra money. Easily floated the grout and allows you to work the extra grout off the tile making clean up easier. Plus having one side with sharp edges and the other with rounded edges was a nice feature working in small areas and corners.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chris perfect for epoxy grout
Used this grout float several times with epoxy grout in a bathroom project both on walls and mosaic floors with porcelain tile and eighth inch space. Works great.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I2Izzy Product doesn't last
The edges on this epoxy grout float falls apart after one use making it harder to reuse or continue using for an extended amount of time. The Brutus float is far too hard & doesn't flex at all so the edges fall apart which equals more epoxy to clean up. The older Superior epoxy grout floats that Home Depot used to carry were far better & lasted for more than a day they were hard yet flexible.

If you are crazy enough to use the Epoxy Grout then you ABSOLUTELY Must have this hard green float! We did not like the way that the application or the clean up of the grout went. It was horrible, however this little float was necessary. I did think that it was significantly heavier that the foam floats also. Our finished kitchen now looks awesome!

The soft, easy to clean handle made for a good grout application for 1/16" to 1/8" grout lines.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RoyB Works well with glass tiles and non-sanded grout.
Again, worked well with non-sanded grout. Easy to clean. Great balance with the appropriate level of rigidity without scratching the glass tiles. Easy to clean.

This float works like it should. Sturdy and holds up well. I've used it for three floors and two showers. Still looking great.
