Product Overview

The QEP Tile Leveling Clips (96-Pack) are part A of a two-part installation system engineered to level, align, space, and hold large body porcelain tile, marble and stone during installation. This part of the system works by automatically aligning and spacing tiles. The wedge part B of the system (sold separately) works by maintaining tiles at an even height until the mortar sets, thereby ensuring the resulting surface is level and free of lippage. The system is used by professionals to save time while providing level and consistently spaced results.

  • First part of a 2-part system to level, align, space, and hold porcelain tile, marble and stone during installation
  • Plastic
  • Use with Part B of 2-part system (not included)
  • Use on tiles up to 1/2 in. thick
  • Produces 1/16 in. grout joint, up to 1/4 in. when combined with traditional tile spacers
  • Anchor design keeps tile level throughout installation
  • Addresses variations in thickness
  • Small holes allow mortar to disperse evenly to eliminate potential voids
  • Member tested and recommended by the handyman club of America

LASH Tile Leveling, Aligning and Spacer Clips Part A (96-Pack) is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 141.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't Floor Without Them They worked great even on my completely unlevel floor. I could see how using the tool would be easier, but I just used the rubber handle of some pliers to squeeze them. You absolutely have to use extra thin set and a 1/2" trowel as the tiles are somewhat lifted off of your surface. Personally will never do another floor without them. An important tip that I found was to break off the bottom of some and put them under the perimeter tiles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1000 sq ft of 8x48 exottica porcelain I'm a diy-er whose laid several types of tile and backsplashes. The 1k sq ft of 8x48 wood-look tile my wife wanted was the biggest job to date. She laid the mortar and I set the tiles, with these LASH clips and wedges. You will develop tough fingers by the end of a big job of using these things. I didnt get the optional pliers that they sell online cuz I read that they can break. But if you can fight thru the pain, these things will help you get a flat tile floor. My 1k sq ft of 8x48 tile looks great. These clips helped yield me a nice and pro-looking flat tile install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why does this only have 3 stars? This was my first tiling job. I almost didn't buy these bc of the bad reviews. I'm sure glad I used them anyway. I'm not sure how any one could get a flat floor with large tiles without them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clips do not break off consistently. After watching the video on how to use, it seemed like a great idea. I was tiling with 8"x 48" wood look tiles. Yes you use a lot of mortar between 3/8 trowel and back buttering. Not a problem if you plan for it. My issue was removing the clips. The video shows a person kicking the tab and wedge and they magically break away. About 70% of mine did that. The other 30% broke off leaving parts of the tab in the grout line. Some were removed with pliers but most had to be cut down with a utility knife so that the tab would be lower than the grout. This resulted in hours of extra effort. The tiles are nice and level but there are many areas of plastic clips covered by a very thin layer of grout. I will probably try another brand before I give up on this new idea altogether.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These saved my butt. Took over a project that was on an un-level service with large format tiles and these saved the job. Yes they may take extra mortar to make sure things are done right in some cases, but that's worth having that smooth service in the end. I don't understand why people are complaining about the fact that they aren't flat on the base, (it's required to have the pressure pushing against the back of the tile) you can bend them if needed to fit easier in shallow beds.

I used 2 on the short sides and 4 on the long sides (so a total of 12 per tile) and they definately helped keep all the tiles level with each other. As an added bonus, I found that if I push the tiles all the way down, the bottom part of these things keeps all tiles the same distance above the floor (like a spacer).

Along with the sister wedges, this tile leveling system is the least expensive and most effective system for Pro's and DIYers alike. Most other systems require a substantial investment in tools and clips. We've used many other systems but keep returning to LASH as our go to tile leveling system.

They are designed to work with even and uneven thinkness of material. For this reason, they are curved at the bottom. This means that you need at least a 3/8 X 1/4 X 1/4 notched trowel, but I recommend using 1/2 X 1/2 X 1/2. 2. If finishing for the night and you still have more to do, stick the clips in as you normally would on the unfinished runs and then place another non mortared run of tiles and wedge them in. Because the bottom is curved, if you don't do this, the clips will tip up on the unfinished side and be hardened in place. This will keep the bottom oriented equally during the night and when you're ready to resume tiling, you just pull the wedges out.
