I believe it would. I use it to mix buckets of mortar so it is sturdy enough for that. With the proper drill (heavy-duty) I think it should work.

Answer:
Maybe, but you may be better off with an auger like a Tulip bulb auger. They work better for materials placed in layers.

The tines of a rototiller can slice through clumps and will help incorporate the different textures into one blend.

This would work fine with a speed-control drill. If you mix at too high a speed it may splash some ingredients out of the bucket.

There are better solutions. This mixer is designed for very thick materials like grout or stucco. There are paddles specific for paint that would be better.

Answer:
Probably, although I have not tried it for things that thin. It does not cause a lot of swirl, which I like because then no splash, but it may take longer. It also may not be easy to clean, but I suppose being coated would not hurt it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great buy! The mixer did its job with no issues; I mixed 12 concrete bags of 80 pounds, in no time! August 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good ...except. Was not pleased with my purchase after I saw it cheaper at Lowes. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mixing Paddle Results The mixing paddle worked really well. I used it for mixing Xypex. Make sure you are using a strong variable speed drill with very good speed control so the mixing doesn't get out of hand. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great mixer Great mixer. Used it for thinset and drywall mud. Wish i still had it. My 50 year old son lost it! May 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great mixer paddle I purchased this paddle to use for mixing sakrete for a deck that I was building. I used it on a 1/2" drill motor and it worked great. I used it to mix and pour 27 each 8" diameter sonatubes for foundation piers. The mixer worked great. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Easy to use, fit well into drill and mixed grout no probelm. Simple to clean up after. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well for drywall compound also! Used this to mix drywall compound to thin it down for skim coating my textured walls. Mixed well, pretty well balanced at higher rpm's and also easy to clean. April 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stong and Reliable Excellent mixer paddle for any sort of cement based mortar or grout. The ones with rise or angle to them splash too much as high speed. This one never splashes. The chrome finish makes it easy to clean and it does not rust. There is also a longer version sold by the mortar section, but this one is sold in the tile section, is shorter and costs less. Pretty indestructible. I have even used it on small batches of concrete without problem, although then don't expect the chrome to hold up forever. March 1, 2016
