This mixer is a good price and does the job it needs to. It didn't struggle or bog down and mixed evenly. Buying this was cheaper than renting a mixer for a week. Overall very pleased.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Texas Powerful, with lots of torque
The mixer is supplied with its own paddle. If you prefer to use your own paddle, then there is a chuck, chuck key, and mount to use any standard mixing paddle. The supplied paddle has an ultra shiny and smooth finish, that makes clean up very simple. A quick splash with a hose and it was like I had just taken it out of the box again.
For such a lightweight power mixer, this has a lot of torque. I mixed up 80 lbs of Home Depots sakrete, and it was as easy as mixing pancake batter. The mixer has a soft start, and ramps up to speed, so you don't get that jerking action when you pull the trigger. The large, comfortable, handles allow a good grip.
The mixer has two speeds, which covers every possible need for construction work.
I had been using a large power drill for missing mortar, but not any more. This is much easier.

This mixer is very powerful and works great for paint as well as concrete. It has a two-speed gearbox and additionally a electronic speed adjustment wheel on the handle. The sturdy handles with integrated on/off switch give you full control over the mixer and make easy to hold it steady.
It comes with a chuck which allows to use other mixing paddles or attachments that don't have the M14x2 thread.
I plan to either purchase or make a different "paddle" to also use it as a post hole digger.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roger Great tool for mixing mortar and some more
Perfect tool for mixing mortar or thinset. I recently used the paddle mixer to prepare drywall Joint Compound. I love the firm grip that you get with the side handles. It worked perfect and made my job so much easier. The mixer came with clear instructions and was easy to put together. It comes with a chuck to make a strong connection with the paddle. No reverse action and it has a button to change the speed levels. Handy tool when it comes to mixing.

If you are a do-it-yourself type or an aspiring tiling contractor, this tool is a must have. I am doing a complete remodel of my home and new tiling is a multiple, large area component of the remodel. The first bathroom I started mixing thin-set, and after the second batch it became apparent this would be a time consuming and tiring process -- I was only on the first room. I bought the mixer and it did in 10 minutes what it took me 30 minutes to do by hand (I am ensuring the thin-set is right). I used a 5+ gallon bucket, but did not fill it past 3/4s, and there is some unmixed product at the bottom of the bucket, so be sure to let the mixer get down there or stir occasionally by hand. Fast, efficient, energy saver. I will be mixing small batches of concrete for post settings once I finish all the tiling, so this tool will be getting extensive use throughout this project and beyond.

Appreciate the two speed feature as well as the ergonomically comfortable handle. I used it to mix paint and joint compounds as well and was pleased to find it performed excellently for these materials also!

I've had the opportunity to use the mixer twice - once with thinset, once with grout. The mixer had no problem with either, easily mixing within a 5 gallon bucket in just a couple minutes. For someone who will need a mixer like this maybe once a year, this seemed like overkill, but ultimately I couldn't find a better alternative, and working with poorly mixed grout isn't an option.
Setup was very easy - maybe took five minutes to attached the paddle/pole and read the instructions. Cleanup wasn't bad either, just wiped the paddle with a rag and it took off most of the thinset/grout. Storage is a bit awkward - it would be great if the body had a way to clip the pole/paddle to the body but I have just used tape to hold it all together and store in a more compact way.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pete Way better then using a drill
After years of using my drill to mix grout, mortar and drywall compound I decided to take the plunge and give this a try. I'm glad I did. Plenty of power to get a nice smooth product, also saves the wear and tear on my expensive drill. It has two speeds which is nice. I start out in the lowest speed to get the powder mixed without it splashing everywhere, then kick it up a notch to smooth it out. This gives a nice consistent mix every time. Motor has had plenty of power for everything I've thrown at it so far. Very easy to assemble and use.
