The sale price made this an VG value. Add to that the fact that's it a Nutone, and it's an excellent value. It uses a standard 100 Watt bulb, plus a 4 Watt night light. The fan seems to be effecient, and it is quite quiet. Time will tell. The fan/light it replaced was a 45 year old Nutone that was still working.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ScottG Nice fan but documentation could be better
I installed this fan as part of a remodel. The documentation wasn't very clear, in terms of how to attach to the existing ceiling (above, below, flush, etc.). As with most products like this, I tossed the instructions and figured it out the best I could on my own. The fan works fine. I would've been ranked a five if it weren't for the instructions.

I replaced an aging fan/light with this model about 3 weeks ago and we still can't get over how pleased we are with it. Some reviewers have said how it's not quiet as silent, but compared to our old one, it's completely silent. Going from a 60cfm model to this one is like night and day. It used to take forever to get the steam/humidity out of our bathroom, now it's almost instantaneous.
Also, because of the large bay for the bulb, we were able to fit a 75W CFL bulb with ease. It was an easy install, even though the directions aren't perfectly clear on some things. We would recommend this to anyone with no hesitation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SCCustomer Great Exaust Fan
I installed 2 of these fans. They work much better, are much more efficient and attractive than the old 22 year old fans. The night light is a nice feature. I connected them to a separate circuit so they would be on when the regular light is off. A photo cell switch would be a nice add-on to turn off the night light during the day.
A note of caution to any one wanting to replace old ceiling exaust fans. Make sure you have attic access and are willing to do some patching and painting before you purchase them. I do but, I was not aware that exaust fans are initially roughed in before the ceiling is put up.

I am an electrician and recommend these wherever I can. The important thing to know is that buying these from your big box store is not the same as buying them from your local electrician or HVAC tech. These fans need to be secure but you have to make sure you are not pulling them out of square. If it is noisy, chances are you have a vibration problem stemming from the installation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dostew2 It just works the best!
We put one in each of our 1st series of construction. Just added our 3rd one to the addition of the guest bath. Perfect!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SystemsThinker Solid fan, weak cover plate
Fan does a good job of exhausting air, but the points that secure the spring-loaded tabs used to remove the cover for cleaning have broken twice. When we pull gently down, the plastic tabs just come off. Very poor engineering on this stress point.
