I use these on smooth walls at a college. They provide accurate coverage to 1/4'' When used properly they are drip free. Just put enuf paint on roller to cover 2' X 2' area at a time.
Keep a damp rag handy for small splatters if you roll to fast,,,All in the technique

these are high quality little roller pads, perfect for touch ups or small jobs. Many homeowners and amateurs might not even realize this size roller exists.

These rollers are easy to use with an even application of paint when rolling the pain onto the walls. They use way less paint than the larger rolls.

I really like the Roller Lite paint rollers. They cover much better than the large rollers without soaking up so much paint. There is virtually no splatter and you can get in tight places with them making the painting look seamless. Brush strokes in corners are minimal using these. I always use the Roller Lite rollers now instead of big rollers.

Package for these mini-rollers claims they can be used for painting cabinets. I used them for two separate situations and would not recommend them to someone else.
Case 1 - needed to prime some new shaker style cabinet doors I had made. Used the mini rollers with Kilz primer. The roller left surface looking like an orange peel. Since I was only priming the surface, I was able to sand it back to smooth before doing the finish coat.
Case 2 - Needed to prime an existing vanity in a bathroom that was previously stained. Used the mini rollers with the same Kilz primer. Same issue. Roller left the surface looking like an orange peel. Tried to sand it smooth, but never got it back to condition is what prior to painting. When I applied finish paint, the surface looks bad.
Note that I always use paint conditioner like Penetrol or Floetrol in my paints, as I have found they help keep the paint edge wet longer and paint flows to glass like finish before drying.
I can get a better finish with a brush than I can with these rollers. I will definitely try something else next time.

I've been using these paint rollers for several years. Paint application is perfect every time. This roller is great for trimming, edging, and filling in all but the biggest walls. Because of its small size, there's little splatter and cleanup is quick and easy.
