I got this because it was cheap in price. While this would be okay for markings, you can't use it for a final project. The black wasn't a strong black even after multiple coats.

We needed some inexpensive black spray paint to do a quick clean-up and painting of some dirty and rusted old engine parts, like the air filter cover. We were selling it and had someone interested, so after a proper tune-up, we wanted to put some lipstick on the old pig. We did not want to put money into what we were just going to sell. This low cost paint was perfect. The truck sold later that day. Now for the price, I don't expect this to be quality paint. But we got exactly what we wanted. A low cost paint to make something look better.

Needed some spray paint for a deer blind so wanted something cheap. It is kind of a pain to work with but for the price you cant beat it. If you want it to look nice I would recommend a different brand.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lavina Perfect and cheap for small jobs
I painted wood with this product , I also painted an old metal chair and an old flower pot! They all turned out great for such a cheap price, I original brought 3 cans, but quickly returned to the store to purchase additional cans for myself and my sister. Lets see how it last now, throughout the fall and winter. May have to repaint again next spring but we shall see.

Horrid, I purchased both Gloss Black and White. I primed my project let it dry, sprayed this paint. 2 days later it was still tacky.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jeff Outstanding Hobby/Small Project Paint!
For years, I have ignored this paint, due to its bland industrial labeling, bottom-shelf store placement, and bargain basement pricing. Finally I decided to try a can- WOW! This paint goes on smooth, dries quickly, and covers much better than other value-line paints. I used this paint on bare polystyrene and it did not melt/craze the plastic as some other chemically "hot" paints do.
As others have said, these cans feature the smaller "old style" Rust-oleum spray nozzle. Personally, I prefer these nozzles over the "new" large nozzles- they are less comfortable to use, but provide better control over the spray pattern.
For those nervous about trying a "generic" paint, relax! This paint is distributed by ROC Sales, which appears to be owned by Rust-oleum.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mhamel Very pleasantly surprised with this low cost spray paint
I painted a white steel cabinet with the flat black and I couldn't believe how well this covered and how far it went. I thought I'd need 2 or 3 coats, but I actually had a nice consistent look in just one coat (I'm guessing the flat is easier to work with). One of the reviewers made it sounds like the spray wasn't consistent-- all 6 of my cans sprayed very consistently right to the end-- as good or better than any expensive spray paint I've used. Only downside is that it has the old style button which kills your finger after a couple of cans.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by spraypaintuser It's a can of paint for pocket change!
You really can not beat quick color, it is budget friendly and made by Rustoleum so you know it is good! The flat black is the best in the quick color line and is easy to use and dries in no time, it also has decent coverage for an "economy" spray paint. Not a major issue but the quick color brand only comes in 10 ounce cans rather than the standard 12 ounce size so make sure to grab an extra can or why not grab three and have an extra dollar left for a fourth at this price!
