Customer Questions & Answers

does this kind of paint work for a bike?

i want to spray paint my bike
Asked by: Anonymous
I suppose you could use this paint for a bicycle. I would suggest using a name brand spray paint. Be sure there isn't too much humidity in the air when you're applying the paint. This paint does not go on evenly and doesn't hold up under weather as well as any other brand.

Why doesn't this quick color paint come in flat white?

Asked by: L8
Quick Color is not available in a flat white at this time. We do have some other aerosols that offer a flat white, such as Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover. http://www.homedepot.com/s/rust%2520oleum%2520flat%2520white?NCNI-5

A can was punctured inside of my Tahoe. what can I use to remove this paint.

My dash board, door panels and interior windshield took a good coating before I could cover the can and eject it from the vehicle. I got lucky, very little got on the carpet (mostly the carpet on the door panel). The can was to covered to read anything off of it.

Oh no! Michael, take a look at Rust-Oleum Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover to help remove dried paint. Be sure to test in an inconspicuous area to ensure color fastness of the surface you are trying to remove the paint from. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Krud-Kutter-22-oz-Graffiti-Remover-GR226/205552884

I have noticed that it tends to get caught or built up at the spray head which ends up running down the can and on your fingers. Other than that, it seems to work well, dries fast and has a hard finish. I thin that for the price, it performs better than expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a buck... really any project you don't want to pay a premium for this stuff is GREAT. I have flat black and white ready in the garage at all times.... the doorbell cover was looking a little dank... sprayed it white and it looks brand new... still a ton more paint left to go. Not sure why the other reviewer thought it would work as a primer on bare wood... I used the black to cover some bare 2x4s and of course it absorbed it - (only took 3 cans to cover a huge wooden frame that measure about 4'x6'x2')... white spray paint on bare wood always seems to give a white stained effect unless you get some really thick premium stuff... that's why you need that white spray primer Kilz makes then add this on top to give it a gloss finish. Bottom line... its not a $7 dollar can of premium paint. It is however gonna do the trick on most basic projects. You get what you pay for usually but in this case you get way more then you pay for it. P.S. If a project takes 7 cans of this paint you are still only in it for 7 bucks. One Dollar People! Unless it sprayed backwards instead of forwards and never dried how can you complain about this stuff??!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from $.97 waste of money I purchased 5 cans of white spray paint to cover a small metal cabinet in my basement. This spray paint is nearly invisible. I used all five cans, and it looks acceptable. I had a second cabinet and purchased the slightly more expensive spray paint. One can of the other stuff ($3.84) had better coverage than 5 cans of this garbage spray paint. I'm not mad at all, I got what I paid for. I am just passing on my opinion. Id suggest spending the extra $2/can to get the job done right the first time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from you get what you pay for I bought this product because it was such a low price. I hoped it would work as a primer for my 6ft bookshelf. I properly prepared the surface (sanding cleaning and making sure they were dry) but It took the whole can to do one shelf and it is still splotchy. I wish I could say this worked but it really really didn't. Also if you buy it anyways you should know that most of the paint comes up as a cloud making it hard to breath.
