For this artificial tree stand only two of four holes to screw into the tree had any tread at all, and since it was plastic, those were useless also. I was surprised that Home Depot, a store I have used for remodeling in my bathrooms, even offered this. It also is not cheaper than other sturdier stands and I had to go elsewhere to get one.

We put this stand under our tree and the tree fell over.No matter how much we tightened the screws. It is not a god product

This Christmas was a disaster! I bought a prelit artificial tree at last year's Home Depot after xmas clearance. Though I was smart enough to have them check the lights in each section for me, I failed to check for a tree stand @!!!?!! Since I couldn't locate one art any stores locally, I got on line and ordered this stand. The tree remained upright briefly- and then fell over. We continued to right our tree but it spent more time horizontal than it did vertically. It fell over so often in fact that the screws stripped out and would no longer tighten! We laid our presents beside our outstretched tree for Christmas Day and took photos. I'm sure this will continue to be a memorable holiday season :)

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by vhall Cheap and ineffective
The tree lilted badly and tipped over all the time. Two of the four screws were threaded (is that the proper term?) and therefore did not work. The holes were too big, so the screws could just slide freely through the holes and had no traction, rendering this thing useless at holding it up. Once we rigged it to work temporarily, it tipped over constantly because the base wasn't heavy enough to hold a 6' artificial tree.

A total waste of hard earned money. With the threading directly on the plastic itself, it couldn't hold up a toothpick, never mind the actual weight of an artificial tree. I am totally dissatisfied with this shopping experience with you. I'm afraid you have lost a long time customer. I will also be passing on this this experience to everyone I know. Signed-Totally Dissatisfied

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by car7115 This product is not made very well
The product is cheaply manufactured and not sturdy nor durable enough to hold an artificial tree. I bought it as a replacement for my current tree. It was up about a week until I woke up one morning to find the tree laying on the ground. The stand had cracked at one of the stabilizing points.

This stand for an artificial christmas tree will outlast my christmas tree! It's design and construction make it a far better stand than the ones that you get with your original tree. You just as well get this stand before you need it, because you are going to need it sooner or later.
