Customer Reviews

Automatic Sponge Mop is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Refill H This kind of sponge is great. It beat the other sponge mop heads. I like how it mops up the floor after first pass. Really soaks up the water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this mop! This mop is great! Easy to use and strong, my first one lasted for 8 years and I mop daily because I have 3 dogs!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Changed for the worst! My old one was made mostly of metal and it broke from six years of use. This new one only got used seven times in two months and the plastic rollers and hinge cracked. These new ones are all plastic. Very cheaply made. It works great but doesn't last long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, durable, and easy to use mop This mop might seem like the most basic mop, but the sponge is great and will pick up even the worst messes on the floor. Easy to handle, push to ring out, and re-use. If you want an easy to use, conventional size mop this is the one for you. The red harsher 'scrubber' on the front is nice to have too, but it sits a little high so you have to maneuver the mop certain ways to be able to scrub the exact spot you want (especially if they're close to the floor)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Is Cheap Really Worth the Hassle? Expensive for what you actually get. I would not buy this again. The "fused" sponge is a cheap alternative for the manufacturer. God forbid, the manufacturer should actually install a complete sponge, not a hybrid. Too expensive a part, really? As a result only half the sponge holds any liquid. The "automatic squeezing action" only goes as far as the sponge bolts. Cant get the "squeeze" to go past the sponge bolts because the bolts stick up too high! Was the mop actually designed this way?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from useless What good is a mop when I can't find the sponge refills? I bought this mop 3 yrs ago and already it is IMPOSSIBLE to find the replacement sponge. Home Depot used to carry it but it is no longer available and I haven't found it elsewhere online. The 2ply "H" refill sponges broke down rather quickly and bits of sponge fell off during use. At $6-8/each the refills were pricey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mop in my opinion! So, I know, many people have gotten on to the disposable mop heads, but in my opinion, the convenience doesn't outweigh the cost and the degradation of cleaning quality. This mop is so dead simple to use, and the construction is top notch, and might I say, with the right bucket, makes cleaning the kitchen floor (my most-hated task) much much more simple! The pull to squeeze function works perfect and makes it almost effortless to wring the mop, and leaves just enough wetness to clean perfectly!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great until it breaks It's actually rather hard to find a decent sponge mop, that you can wring out from the handle (as opposed to the awkward hand wringer that just waffle-irons over.) This one works great, although it could wring out more water. For me, using it everyday, it breaks too soon. The first one broke after a few months. The hole where the mop head attaches to the base of the handle just broke open leaving the mop head floppy and useless. The second time, one of the plastic rollers to smooth the wringing-out action broke in days, and then again, in a couple of months the same hole broke. It wouldn't be as bad if the heads were breaking, but it's the handle attachments so I have to buy a whole new mop. So far I haven't found any better. The roller mops have soft sponges that don't scrub well, and string mops just aren't what I need. It's super cheap, and maybe I'm too rough on it, but it seems like it should be more durable.
