Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Clean Sweep The first thing you notice is the hefty handle...easy to get a grip on..no skinny little stick. the bristles are on the coarse side...a benefit for larger, heavier debris as it has more "spring" to keep the pile of dirt moving. It appears to be well made.. four rows of stitching in addition to a steel retainer, located above the stitching. The wire wrapping around the upper part of the bristles looks like it will remain secure for a long time. October 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy duty outdoor corn broom It's a heavy duty outdoor broom, solidly made. It has a galvanized steel ring for strength. There are four rows of black heavy duty poly thread holding the corn husks together. It sweeps beautifully; I have used it to sweep my patio, garage, walkway, and driveway. The metal handle black paint is really well-done. Quickie has made these brooms with a well-thought-out design, quality materials and pride of workmanship. The last Quickie broom I had lasted many years before I needed to replaced it. November 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Commercial Grade Corn Broom Was so excited to get this broom because it is so hard to find an old fashioned corn broom. I immediately went to work on my patio sweeping up dirt and a few leaves. I noticed that there were a few pieces breaking off and some of the outer edges were sticking out instead of staying straight down. It is a nice weight with a steel handle, which is nice because don't have to worry about getting slivers. There are 4 rows of stitching and a steel band wrapping around the base, so it o Is well made. It is a comfortable weight and has a wider width than most brooms so you can cover more ground faster. I am hoping the breakage ceases and it was just a few weak bristles that I lost. Other than that,, a nice broom. September 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sturdy broom This broom is very heavy duty. It does jobs that smaller broom can't do. I know this one will last so much longer than the average broom. I have a huge patio and this sure comes in handy to sweep leaves, pine needles etc. I showed it to my neighbor and she tried it out loves it. She hope to find one the our local home depot store. If not she will order online. Thanks again for a great product. September 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Serious sweeper A good broom is a joy for... well, for as long as it lasts. This broom's long bristles do a great job of sweeping out the cracks, reaching into corners and under things, and the springiness of them shoots the dirt and debris forward very satisfactorily. I'm not too sure about the metal handle since I've always had wood, but it handles nicely for sweeping the garage, getting cobwebs, and clearing the cracks in the driveway. I can't wait to use it on the first dusting of snow! September 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's a broom! It's a broom. It's hard to give either a rave or bust review about a broom unless you have someone at home that flies one, but here we go. The broom seems to be very well constructed and appears that it will hold up for a long time. The handle is very solid and a good weight. I have only used it in the garage so I am not sure how it will perform with indoor dust, but my guess is it will be just fine. If you need a broom, here's a good one! September 17, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Impressed This is not your Dad's corn broom. The steel handle has a plastic tip that is raggedy. It may have metal wound around the handle to secure the broom but it has a plastic screw and some sort of grey plastic glued on to either finish it or secure it. The handle was made in Italy, the broom head was made in Mexico and the broom was assembled in US. Maybe less shipping parts in from all over which costs freight, and more quality control would help My Home Depot had only two corn brooms and I bought the more expensive. Totally disappointed and will return. Wish Home Depot would carry one of the better brooms shown on the web page. Went to a hardware store and got the classic heavy duty corn broom with a wooden handle and good quality control. August 27, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not what was expected I love the study feel to this broom. The head is made of corn strands, carefully secured with 4 rows of stitching backed by a metal ring for additional support. The handle is tall and thick which provides for a really nice smooth grip. Unfortunately, the screw tip is plastic and not metal. The tip has broken on my broom more than once. Each time I have to exchange it out for a new broom. I like this broom. I just wish there was a better, more sturdy tip built into it. August 28, 2013
