Rated 3 out of 5 by Great until it breaks It's actually rather hard to find a decent sponge mop, that you can wring out from the handle (as opposed to the awkward hand wringer that just waffle-irons over.) This one works great, although it could wring out more water. For me, using it everyday, it breaks too soon. The first one broke after a few months. The hole where the mop head attaches to the base of the handle just broke open leaving the mop head floppy and useless. The second time, one of the plastic rollers to smooth the wringing-out action broke in days, and then again, in a couple of months the same hole broke. It wouldn't be as bad if the heads were breaking, but it's the handle attachments so I have to buy a whole new mop. So far I haven't found any better. The roller mops have soft sponges that don't scrub well, and string mops just aren't what I need. It's super cheap, and maybe I'm too rough on it, but it seems like it should be more durable. Rated 2 out of 5 by Is Cheap Really Worth the Hassle? Expensive for what you actually get. I would not buy this again. The "fused" sponge is a cheap alternative for the manufacturer. God forbid, the manufacturer should actually install a complete sponge, not a hybrid. Too expensive a part, really? As a result only half the sponge holds any liquid. The "automatic squeezing action" only goes as far as the sponge bolts. Cant get the "squeeze" to go past the sponge bolts because the bolts stick up too high! Was the mop actually designed this way? Rated 1 out of 5 by useless What good is a mop when I can't find the sponge refills? I bought this mop 3 yrs ago and already it is IMPOSSIBLE to find the replacement sponge. Home Depot used to carry it but it is no longer available and I haven't found it elsewhere online. The 2ply "H" refill sponges broke down rather quickly and bits of sponge fell off during use. At $6-8/each the refills were pricey. February 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quickie automatic sponge mop Good sponge mop at a good price. Better than the old style "sponge" mops with a real sponge on them, holds up much better and doesn't come off in pieces. Sponge is easy to change, but at half the price of the entire mop not a good value, but they do last a long time. October 20, 2012
