I put my Quiet Glide Rolling Library together from components purchased here at HD online and elsewhere. This was one of the more expensive components. But, for what I needed, a bargain. I needed a ladder just shy of 8" but it was cheaper to get THIS 10' model and cut it to fit than to get a shorter one. Go figure. But, it worked beautifully and I'm delighted with the finished product. It is well engineered, precisely cut, required little sanding, and went together easily.

10 ft wooden red oak library ladder and rail kit
I bought the whole kit as well as the ladder on line. It is fabulous! I stained it and it is beautiful. Works like a charm. High quality, sturdy. So glad I did it. I even made an error and needed a 6 ft piece of rail instead of the 4 ft piece I ordered. They let me return it to the store and ordered me the 6 ft piece with no hassle at all. They were very helpful in ordering what I needed also, I told them my measurements and they told me what I needed. I thought I could stop the rail short of the wall but I really needed to take it right to the end of the wall, hence the need for the 6 ft instead of the 4 ft piece of rail. Would do it again in a heart beat!
