How do you order a change of color for the face place?

How do you order a change of color for the face place?
Asked by: Ray
Smiths Environmental does offer other face plates for there units. Essentially it is face plate that fits over the brown face plate. It is not on line because it does not sell well and is, in my opinion excessively expensive. However if you would like to find out pricing and availability please feel free to give me a call. If it is something you would like to order it can be ordered through a Home Depot store. Also over the next six months Smiths will be changing this series and will start to have a stainless steal face plate. Chris 978 651 3301

Doesn't the BTU output depend on the water temperature input? Standard 120 degree water going through this wouldn't seem to offer much output.
Asked by: HydroponicHarry
Yes output would depend on water temperature and flow rate. And Yes 120 degree water would offer very little output. In fact I am not sure it would even be warm enough to trigger the aquastat to turn the blower on. I think the source of the confusion it that although 120 F is the common temperature for potable hot water, this devise is not for potable hot water. This is meant to be used in a hydronic heating system. Also know as a closed loop heating system, which uses a boiler that typically heats the water to 180 F and circulates it over and over again through the system.; Although only 5% of the heating systems in the US employ boilers they are roughly 50% of the systems in the north east.

Customer Reviews

2000 Series 9785 BTU Hydronic Brown Kick Space Heater (Not Electric) is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Signal Degredation Caused By Electric Fan The problem will be in the TV itself or anything attatched to A/V cables and the TV not the fan motor. Something has lost its ground or ground integrity has been compromised by a damaged signal cable (not always visible damage. Pulling too hard on the cables during install is the most common cause). If this situation had occured in an automobile it's usually expressed as a high pitched whine that rises and falls with engine speed. While the speed controller in the fan is the source of the interference the fault is in the TV/attached accessory which are designed to cope with signal interference, however the grounds have to be solid for any of it to work properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Potentially a great product, bugs need to be engineered out Heater aspect works well, but, the unit fan keeps cycling on and off during cool down, and, quite strangely, the fan switching on and off causes our HD/cable TV to pixalate..have tried different circuits and conditioned power supplies, but nothing works.
