Overall a very nice fan. Installed in garage for cigar smoke and woodworking dust removal. A little undersized for the garage, but still does a very good job. Installation was straightforward. Only con is that the wire junction box inside housing is very undersized. Had extra wires for a wireless switch relay and it was a tight fit--only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Sounds quieter than my fairly new bathroom fans that are much lower CFM. Shipping from HD was quick, about 2 business days, and came in perfect condition.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Racerhoze Moves a TON of air as expected.
Fan was bought for a small water closet off the main bathroom. It was meant to be major overkill because I think most contractor grade exhaust fans are majorly underpowered for removing unpleasant smells. It does not disappoint. I laugh at how much air it is pulling underneath the door and how much is coming out the soffit vent. It is quieter than the contractor grade fan it replaced but not as quiet as some of the Panasonic fans. (Which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you are wanting some white noise to conceal some more unpleasant ones). Install was not too bad and the way the motor installs in the housing was pretty well thought out. Opening for the fan is a bit larger than the old fan (roughly 10"x14") and I bought an adapter to convert the exhaust exit to 6" circular duct.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ken This one is going back.
When a product has design flaws, it is very difficult to rate it for quality or value any way but as I have here. The housing, motor and cage appear rugged. But the rectangular backdraft damper sticks and malfunctions. This is a key feature! If it sticks closed, no air exits. If it sticks open, warm room air escapes. The backdraft damper on this unit malfunctions both ways, and is clearly a design flaw, not a defective unit. Additionally it is very challenging to find an outlet boot that will interface properly with this unit. After multiple attempts to solve these problems, this one is going back. I could fabricate a custom boot but without a solution to the backdraft damper I am going to need to buy an external backdraft damper as well. But now we're heading in the direction of spending more money to fix this unit's deficiencies.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bfadams Most excellant bathroom fan
The fan moves more air than any other I could find. This is my second one. The first one last for 15 years. It was used for 5 people, so was on quite a lot. Cleared out the steam in the bathroom rather quickly. Highly recommended.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JasonPhx It's OK, but not powerful
It's not strong enough for 225sf room, the power has seemed like 150CFM, you might need 2 of it for the same size room. Anyway it has a very quiet noise.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sandman302 Does the trick and it's a treat
Contractor fan went out before I could tear it down from the ceiling. Was under powered and loud for a 12' ceiling and 10x10 bathroom. Always had excessive steam, moisture on walls, mold on white tile. Figured 300cfm had to work out. Had to cut a larger hole, fit it with a 6" pipe (old one used 4"). After install I was leary about what 4.5 zones would sound like. Well, it sounded quiter then the old fan and wow does it get the steam out. No more moisture on walls or mirror and tiles are staying white. Was the right choice.
