Product Overview

A gentle electric radiant heat system designed specifically for dry installation under floating wood and laminate floors. A low profile, line voltage system, it features gradual warmth from low wattage resistance heating of ultra-thin, flexible radiant heat film. Installed easily over a subfloor or over an acoustic/insulating underlayment as part of the overall floor assembly, it uses just 12 watts per square foot to gently raise the temperature of the floor, conforming to the warranty requirements of many floating floors. The system, which sports an impressive 99% efficiency, includes temperature limiting properties so the film does not overheat. Its available in four convenient rollout mat sizes that will accommodate most any layout. Each mat has wires pre-attached for ease of installation.

  • Use with most floating laminate, engineered wood and floating tile floors
  • Uses an highly-efficient conductive ink technology
  • Disperses an evenly consistent heat throughout the entire floor
  • Will not add extra height to the floor, only 0.016 in. thick
  • Consumes up to 50% less power than traditional wired systems
  • Easy to install: roll out, cut length to fit if needed and run pre-attached wires to a wall thermostat
  • No mortar and no mess
  • Conforms to many floating floor manufacturers requirements
  • Maintenance free, crafted to not completely shut down if the system should ever become compromised or damaged
  • When trimming the length, the portion of the mat that is cut off cannot be used

1.5 ft. x 10 ft. x 0.016 in. 120-Volt Radiant Heat Film for Floating Floors (Covers 15 sq. ft.) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really HOT product for warming a space and saving money! We plan to use 4 of these to create a toasty sitting area in our family room. We are in the middle of our remodel but have read through the instructions and this seems to be really easy to install and with the thermostat it can handle up to 4 heat films on one circuit. Isn't recommended for under tile floors, only laminate or floating floor. Only uses 12 watts per square foot for energy saving warmth without having to run the heater as much. The great thing about radiant heat is it heats your floor, and your furnitrue which holds the heat in as opposed to just heating the air. I can't wait to use this once the temperatures drop this fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 20-Volt Radiant Heat Film for Floating Floors I have been running a little slow on completing my tile floor areas. The process of installing the 20-Volt Radiant Heat Film is a simple installation process. I had to purchase the temperature control unit in order to complete the install including running a 120volt wire to my wiring system, which I am a amateur with electricity. The installation of this product has been properly completed and the feeling of tile in the early morning is a warm exciting feeling

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Bath Remodel and Second Time Choosing QuietWarmth Radiant Heat We went with the QuietWarmth radiant heat system in our main bath remodel for its energy efficiency and easy install. The film was super easy to handle and install. The integrated fiber in the super thin film didn't add to floor depth and can be trimmed to fit with scissors. It couldn't be easier to install. So when it came to our lower bath, there was no question what radiant heat system we would use. We used the programmable thermostat in the upper bath and in the lower bath we installed the nonprogrammable thermostat. With cold weather approaching, we're all set with cozy warm floors. We highly recommend QuietWarmth!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great if you want to waste money Horrible product. Installed this to specifications, does not get very warm. It makes the flooring feel like you stood in one spot for 10 seconds, nothing more. Thermostat is very ugly. Very expensive for little results. I'd suggest buying socks. Pros: easy install Cons: everything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a luxury - heated bath floors ! This is the ultimate luxury - heated bathroom floors. This was more than I thought I could handle by myself, so I recruited the help of an electrician friend for the installation. Since this was in a new bath, and flooring had not yet been installed, it was fairly easy to install. Went right under my floating tile flooring - so thin, it did not add any measurable height to the floor. A thermostat was not included so that had to be purchased separately. The end result is a beautifully heated floor - no more cold feet. After the initial installation, I feel confident I can do the next one without help. Highly recommended !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic purchase! We installed a floating tile floor in the bathroom and this item worked perfectly with the flooring. It is summer so really haven't had to use it much. We tested it and the floor is so nice to walk on with the warmth of the tile, it will be great in the winter during snow and ice storms. Walking on warmth, instead of cold tiles will be wonderful. With a thermostat we attached it will make our bathroom warm and toasty in the bad weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cozy First, make a template of the area you wish to heat as you can spot heat areas with this system. For example, we used this in the living room and heated the area in front of the patio door as well as the areas around our seating area. Now the only disadvantage to this scenario is if you change your seating arrangements. Also, plan where you are going to put the thermostat and make it easy to get to. Not sure yet the impact on the electric bill. We have a floating floor ontop of a concrete slab which makes the floor very cold in the winter. We don't use rugs because of allergies so having this system will definitely improve things this winter.
