Customer Questions & Answers

What is the weight capacity

Asked by: Mona
Doesn't matter the weight capacity, it will break after a few uses anyway!!! It is rated at 500 pounds, I weight 300, I have purchased 3 of these chairs and so far 2 have broken after about 1-2 months. Bought them because they were rated for 500 pounds and thought they could handle my weight!! Wrong!! The gussets where the frame connects are made of plastic and both chairs that have broken have broken at the same place. The plastic breaks and the frame separates!! Don't waste your money on these chairs!!!

I have had this chair for 1 year almost to the date, this is a nice chair with heavy duty covering. Too bad they failed to put heavy duty hardware on the chair. I weigh 300 pounds, the chair is rated for 500 pounds. The frame started coming apart where the frame connects to the chair thru the rubber gussets at the front of the seat. I believe the chair should be rated for 200 - 250 pounds. But, you won't have the age old problem of the seat material tearing up. If they had just spend a few more cents and put heavier rubber/plastic material at the stress points, this chair would be excellent!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Large & heavy duty: for the BIG & TALL This chair is big! Not huge by any means, but larger than the average folding (camping / beach) chair. See last pic for comparison. I'm 5'9" and 155 lbs and I fit in it just fine with ample room. A person who's twice my size would fit in it comfortably as well. So it is comfortable and the armrests are a plus. They are attached to the rear poles through a loop which makes their height (or angle) adjustable - could be a pro and a con (see below). The materials seem very durable and the stitching looks good too. The poles are 1" thick and look like they could handle the max rated 500 lbs weight limit. Here are some measurements: ~ Assembled (in the carry bag) length = 38" & Width = 8" ~ Open (at the widest point armrest to armrest is about 35" & the back is about 37" high from the floor (providing full back support!) ~ The Seat is 19" deep & 24" wide. It's 18" off the floor - so if you have short legs, it might be uncomfortable under your knees. ~ The cupholders are 4" deep & 3" in diameter (easily fit a normal size can) Overall a great chair that's targeted more towards a larger person. Why 4-stars then? The price of thirty $ seems a bit steep. While most similar chairs cost up to fifteen $, this one should be around twenty $ because it's more durable. Just my opinion. The armrest "sliders" although adjustable, could potentially slide down and there's no way to secure them. Also, the poles on my chair had a few scratches on them, odd for a new product. At the end of the day, it's a solid chair that should hold up to heavier weights and wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TAIL GATING MADE EASIER The perfect addition to the patio, trunk of a car or extra cab of truck. You never know when your going to need that extra chair. With this beauty all you do is tip over the extra strong nylon bag and out pops the chair so easy to open up. Now heavy duty is a understatement, lets try 500 pounds that's a quarter ton my friends. very comfortable, two cup holders, and looks great. You don't have to be over sized to use this either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty as Advertised Chair was ready to use out of the box. Dried quickly after it was caught in the rain. I am close to 400 lbs and it supports me easily.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned twice! We bought these because they were heavy duty and held up to 500lbs. We are not huge people, but they broke... TWICE. We used the first ones for a month and they started to rip. The second ones the polls started to come out and we were unable to fix because the clothe got stuck and ripped. We liked them for what they were, comfy.... But just poor quality for $30! Very heavy also and extremely hard to get back into the bag. The bag was made just a little too small. Buying different chairs for next year. Side note: my parents got the same chairs and thirts broke too!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product is JUNK. Purchased 2 of these things. Talk about junk. Opened 1, began to use on my porch. Right arm fabric tore off. Chair now useless. Opened #2, serious concern about quality, not going to chance another break. Bought on line but this stuff is headed back to the store. They can have a look at them. By the way, I am 6'2" & 300lbs, former basketball player & weight lifter. Product information states they will support 500lbs. They must be kidding. Also, I only had used the chair for less than 30 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big and tall chair, very heavy duty one complaint There is a warning on both cup holders telling you not to put your beverage in there, WHAT THE HECK IS A CUP HOLDER FOR IF NOT FOR BEVERAGES? Other than that confusing warning the chair is awesome.
