Is this product Water-Proof once cured?

I am building a deck and want to use this product for setting posts in the ground. Trying to decide between setting posts in the ground and surrounding with concrete vs. pouring footings and setting metal bracket in concrete and attaching posts to bracket. In the ground provides more lateral stability and I have read that this type of concrete is water proof when cured, is that true?

How much money will I save on a 1700 sq foot building floor, buying mixing the creat and doing the labor my self vs. having someone else doing the job

Asked by: Anonymous
Do not even consider doing a hand mix with that big of a job. Seriously - anything over 3/4 yd, order a redimix concrete truck for the job. It is plain a LOT more cost effective with a redi-mix truck. Also--remember the pour has to be 1 continuous monolith slab--neaning it all needs to be in place in 1.5 hrs time. So this limits how much you can mix using a mixer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product for specific applications. When you need a high strength concrete in a short period of time - this product is the way to go. An example is replacing your garage apron, after 3 days you can easily drive your vehicle over it, where as for the same strength regular mix concrete it'd be 2.5 weeks to get the same strength. Another example is say a 4'x5' concrete pad for a stair landing coming off a wood deck. 2 days later the stair stringers can be placed without fear of chipping off a corner while installing the stairs. Also the working time is the same as regular concrete, so for a DIYer you'll need that time for leveling and finishing. But considering the extra cost compared to a regular concrete mix, this limits its use based on economics. Otherwise the product itself is the best out for a concrete mix.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does as suggested Had some small potholes I needed to fill in. Product mixes easily and is easy to apply even where I had to tapper it down to less than 1/2 inch.
