My new laptop at work didn't come with a docking station. I have to plug and unplug 5 cables several times a day when I leave my desk to attend meetings. This was a tedious job until I got the cable organizer. Now, when I unplug the cables, they stay put. When I get back to my desk, all the cables are already where they need to be. It saves me a lot of time.
The organizer is heavy enough to stay put. It's made of hard rubber, which is tacky enough to keep it from sliding around on the desk. Likewise, the hard rubber grips the cables firmly and keeps them in place.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product.

Perfect to keep all of my cables handy! Between, the two phones, tablet and usb extension, I was constantly losing cables behind my desk. This little guy kept everything where I needed it to be. I wish it was a tiny bit heavier, but otherwise, it was small enough to be convenient without being too big to be useful.

I am a fan of all things Quirky! This cable organizer is one of the smartest purchases I've made. I was tired of having to pick our charging cables off the floor all the time and worried that Hubby (Mr. Big Foot himself) would be stepping all over them!
Thrilled that this one little product came in so very handy :-)

Happened to see this while shopping for lighting. Great value and a very helpful tool when you have more than one charging cord for iPhone, iPad, Kindle, etc.

I know others had problems with the weight of video and other heavier cables, but I though I would be OK with all relatively lightweight cables. iPod sync and camera USB were fine, but network and laptop power cables made it tilt up on its back edge.
I was already prepared to fasten it to the desk with proven high quality 3M double sided foam mounting tape, but the tape would not stick to the rubber material used.

So this thing is a pretty simple design. Its easy to slide your cables in between the teeth. I only wish it was heavier so it would stay on my desk when connecting and disconnecting my laptop to a monitor.

This is a great concept, especially for laptops and other devices that consistnantly get plugged and unplugged. However it's not perfect. It has a good amount of metal in it to weigh it down, but it's not enough. It also has two threaded holes in the bottom of it, giving you the option to bolt it to your desk (or other surface) however it doesn't come with the bolts, so you would have to match them with the threads inside. It holds the wires securely, weather they are 1/8th of an inch wide, or a 1/4 inch wide cable. Any thing thicker then 1/4 will likely still hold, but nothing could be in the slots beside it.
The biggest thing I wish they would've included is a stick set of Velcro, or a sticky patch to secure it to the surface. My Laptop desk is a roll up desk in my living room, in other words the desk itself is pulled too and from my seat. This means the wires and cables plugged into the wall, modem, tv, etc get pulled on. So this mount gets pulled around with them. However there's a simple solution. If you look up "Command hooks" on homedepot.com, you will see these hooks that come with sticky pads to attach them to surfaces. You can use these sticky pads on this device. Not only does it hold it securely to most serfaces, but when it's time to remove it, the sticky pads comes off easily, and 99% of the time will not damage a surface (unless the finish is already worn off). The fact that you can get a large sticky pad for less then three bucks makes it well worth it.
I would recommend this for anyone that uses a device that has more then one wire to plug/unplug and consistently.
