This was shipped directly from the manufacturer, apparently, and it took a solid month to receive. I kept seeing it in the store and was tempted to buy it and return the one I ordered when/if it ever showed up. Given that experience, I'm worried about the quality of customer service should it ever be necessary.
That said, it works as expected, and is pretty neat if you like gadgets. I have used it twice with my slow cooker to both have it turn on and shut off at programmed times for recipes that needed less time than my full work day. Pretty neat. But this thing is bulky. Much bigger than it appears in the pictures. The box is large, and it's not from over packaging. Even though it's flexible for reasons of its design, it still seems unnecessarily large for just four outlets. See my picture of it next to a standard six outlet power strip. Even the plug is is a monster.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alaraja VERY COOL PRODUCT!
You know, at first I was hesitant because of the price but, realizing all the features and possibilities, I decided to take the plunge and buy this unit.
What a cool idea and as cool as a power strip can be...this one is. I am familiar with the "Pivot Power" line of strips (I already own a Gen 1 unit) and this one is definitely an evolution.
It's easy to set up and the FREE APP is smart, slick, and responsive.
I plan to use it for my Christmas tree, so I don't have to bend over or try and set one of those timers again but, I have been playing with it on various devices in the meantime.
Very cool and would definitely recommend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gbre The Future is Here and it's Awesome
I picked this up thinking of essentially using it as a high tech light switch I could control from my phone. While it worked perfectly for that, I had no idea how vast its applications were. Plugging in any device that operates with power essentially turns it into a remotely controlled technological marvel. I have my fan plugged into it now, my lamp, and have even used it to remotely preheat my iron. Then I grabbed another product of Quirky's - their Spotter Sensor. Now I not only can remotely control these devices, but automate them. If it gets too hot in my apartment, the fan turns on automatically. If it gets too dark, on goes my light. The future is here and it's awesome.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Chris Worst purchase ever. Wemo is a lot better
What makes this product worthless? You have to go through quirkys website to turn off and on your device. That should tip you off that the device will have serious problems. Significant delays in on & off time. Does not display true status (on or off) of the switch. Just over all junk. Wemo does not go through any website & has immediate on & off time. Also displays current status of switch. Thought I was getting a good deal with the $50 price tag so I bought 8 of them. Back to Home Depot they go. Will stick with wemo.

My friend got one of these when they were $50. It worked pretty well so I though I'd get 2 of them. Unfortunately I waited until the priced went up to $60 each (They are $70 each now). They work great! I've got them turning lights on and off in my office and plan to have them turning lights off and on in my living room but I need a new lamp (I have a touch lamp and won't work with any type of switch). Each powerstrip has two plugs that are wifi controlled and two that aren't. They can be turned off and on without app on your phone with a button on the side of the powerstrip. Obviously not the most convenient thing but it is nice to know you can still turn it on if you don't have your phone. I would definitely buy more. They are a reletively cheap way to get into home automation.

The concept is great, but the execution is only fair. Loved being able to turn holiday decorations and lights on from my iPhone. However, I soon learned that when using the app to turn an outlet off, it would sometimes display the status as off, but the device (outlet) itself was on. I literally came home to see the lights fully illuminated while I looked at the off indicator on my iPhone. Also, the device tends to disconnect from the router, and cannot be remotely reset. Once that occurs, it's pretty much worthless. Very quirky indeed!

I love this thing. I've accumulated a lot of electronics and absolutely hate how much power my components are drawing when they're just plugged in but aren't being used. However, I'm also super lazy...so I don't do anything about it. Now I can turn my stereo on/off all from my couch! I'm thinking of getting another one for my daughter's room to control her nightlight and white noise machine. Only two of the Four outlets are app controllable, but it's seriously worth it. I'd buy it even if I could only control one of the outlets...

I used this for my Christmas tree this past year and I have to say it was so cool to use. I never leave the tree on when away so it was nice to activate it a few minutes before coming home to see the tree all lit up. Now that Christmas is over I plan on plugging lights and my electric heater into this modern day surge protector. This way I do not have to leave the lights on during the day when away. I can now save even more on my electric bill :)
