I want to create sound absorption panels for a music studio / rehearsal room. I thought putting 2 together and placing at points on the walls (covered in fabric), and possibly using some denim insulation between them for bass traps in the corners.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by village makers delight I have used the foam insulation as a product for thermal control. I however found an amazing use for the product. During the year I put up seasonal villages to celebrate the season or holiday. I had been looking for a storable solution to build multi layer villages. This product does the trick. I use 2'by4' cores and number them for storage purposes. I also use the 1/2 and 3/4 inch as the base for my tracks. If you spray the edges of the foam with stone spray paint the foam reacts and forms a structure that looks just like rock formation. Attached is a photo of my Dickens village one of four I currently have displayed in my home. Thanks for the great product. Jim McDonald December 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great. Perfect for what it was requiired for. Garage door insulation. Enough to do a double garage door. Had to replace my garage door. Difference between an insulated and non insulated door was $400. Garage door insulation kit cost approx. $70. Easy to cut with razor knife. Excess foam material was used to fill 2 panels, so was able to save 2 full sheets for any future jobs or repairs, if necessary. Used approx. 2 cans of foam fill spray to fill small void unable to get to. Save myself over $300. February 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by For Garage Door Insulation, this is the bomb!!! Let me tell you I agonized over this purchase, considering the 4X8 sheets out there were so much less money, but they were not 1.5 inches either!!! I am so happy with the look and the result!!! This insulation has a white with printing side and a shiny side that is plain and perfect. I trimmed with a miter saw and skill saw. I recommend cutting away from the garage you're working in... Lots of crumbs!!! December 23, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is easy to use, light and very good for garage doors. I bought this product to insulate my segmented garage door. Initially I tried regular fiber glass pads. I realized however that the garage door cannot be pushed up in case of a power outage or the garage door opener doesn't work. It was too heavy. I found this amazing product, the foam insulation 2ft x 4ft cuts. The 1.5 in thick fits perfect into the door compartments. I had to cut only the width to accomodate to the size of the door compartments but the length is perfect. After you cut to the right width, you have only to push a little bit the foam onto the compartment edge like you will install a bookcase sliding door or a window screen. That's all. Looks neat. The R value is even higher that a 3" thick fiber glass pad that will bulge out from the door compartment and will look like huge baby diaper. I am glad I found this product. September 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nativity Project I purchased this item because it is 1/2 the size. The foam board fitted in my mustang by pulling down the back seat. The board is light weight. To prevent the bidding when cutting, use a hot wire foam cutter. No mess March 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Insulation I bought 16 of these instead of two garage door kits that cost $64 each... 16 cost me $69 and were easily cut to fit into my garage door... If I had bought two garage kits I still would have had to trim 8 of the 16 panels so why not trim all 16 and save some money... besides these panels were 1 1/2 inches thick instead of 1 1/4 inch thick in the garage door kits... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect! Same as the others: Garage door insulation combined with pink boards for the right thickness. Cutting it with the bandsaw, worked fine. Very flexible without breaking. November 9, 2012
