If you live in the south (hot summer temps) you don't need to wait longer than 24 hours. I pressure washed my Fence on Saturday and applied the stain on Sunday with great results.

I know it says exterior, but can it be used in interior settings?

If so, does the floor need to be sanded first?

Thanks!

Stick with what the manufacturer recommends. Depends what you mean by "interior setting". If you are talking a three season room or screen room, this product should work well. It's always beneficial to sand the floor to remove rough areas. Make sure the floors are sanded evenly with appropriate grit depending on the type of wood. This product is my number one preference for exterior wood decks; there are better products for covered three season decks and screen rooms. Nevertheless, do not use it on an interior wood floor. Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 37 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent! Good choice for the weekend warrior We used the dark walnut Ready Seal on our new pressure treated wood deck. Be sure to follow instructions to remove the mill glaze and allow the recommended dry time (2-3 months) for new wood. We applied 2 light coats. The color was a little lighter than I expected for dark walnut. Good coverage (2 coats on 400 sq ft took about 4 gal). I do not think we reach full saturation. Our plan is to wait for spring (when the wood will be a bit drier) and apply an additional coat or 2. The deck board color differences in the photo are an optical illusion; they are all stained the same color. I think it looks fantastic. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is my favorite outdoor finish. I use it on all my outdoor furniture. Very quick delivery. Application is goof proof, my 11 year old grandson can apply this finish to my products. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's got good color It has good color. Mixes easily in the bucket (Stirred with wood mixing stick). Clean up is easy. I'm using it on For Ground Contact 6x6 Timbers that have 1 year of outside exposure. The Stain seems to be penetrating the Timbers nicely and giving them a good Rustic look. Time and weather will tell if this product can withstand the elements. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality Stain at an excellent price. This is very good quality Stain at an excellent price. Just as advertised, it is very forgiving of streaks and overlaps and has great coverage. It goes on dark, but the color lightens up as it dries. I am extremely pleased with how my fence turned out. Home Depot's free shipping was unbelievably fast and their price was lower than purchasing directly from the manufacturer. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to spruce up a fence or deck. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice product Very easy to apply. I used electric sprayer and roller to stain our cabin August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very easy to use this product with sprayer The stain looks great and goes on very easy with a sprayer August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this stuff!!! We highly recommend this product. Very easy and great looking. We used on our deck we are building and so far its been wonderful. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ready Seal I have tried many stains over the years and have never had a stain that is so easy to use. It was easy to apply with a brush, roller or sprayer. It's easy to clean brushes with water and dishwashing liquid. It takes about two days to dry to walk on just like the directions say. I have a large deck around the pool15x30 so it took 10 gallans to cover with two coats. We used the pecan color and it's a little dark but looks great. July 19, 2016
