Answer:
I applied it to a font porch with 3 stairs and also to a rear deck that has 12 stairs. I haven't had any issues with slipping even in the rain.

Answer:
I believe it will depend on how smooth of "finished" the wood is. I used it on a nicely finished cedar deck board, and it actually is pretty 'slick' especially initially. However, I have also used it on some rougher deck boards and it feel perfectly OK. However, using on a ramp could be a little iffy if the wood is slicker to begin with.

Answer:
It is most convenient to shake it in the 5 gallon size. However, I do think it is possible to remove the lid to stir if this is your preference.

When the product was delivered I turned pail upside down overnight. When I was ready to apply, I poured into a paint pan. It worked great, no issues.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this stuff! I've used everything on the market at one time or another, at least until I tried Ready Seal. I'll never use anything else. I first used it to seal a brand new cedar deck about a year ago. It was time to seal my home again, a 5600 sq. foot 'rustic' wrapped in cypress and this year we soft-washed the entire thing before putting on the sealer. Ready Seal is wonderful! It really brings out the grain in the cypress and is so easy to apply. It hangs to the brush and the roller like nothing I've ever used. You can spray, roll, brush, whatever, and it still looks great (Though I prefer to brush.) April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Professional Look without the Professional Skill Really enjoyed this product. I'm not a professional stainer, by any stretch of the imagination, but this product makes your stained fence look professionally finished. This is very runny so just keep that in mind when applying the product BUT it will not stain the fence unevenly. The wood absorbs the stain efficiently and it is almost impossible to create any runs with this product. I stained one side of my bare fence one day, in which runs were clearly visible on the opposite side, and the very next day I was able to still get rid of the runs with just a simple normal single coat. Great product overall, just keep in mind that the stain may get everywhere. March 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product I purchased this stain for a new pressure treated pine fence that we let cure for 3 months prior to application. I chose to use a roller and brush as opposed to a garden sprayer or paint sprayer and am very happy with the results. The stain went on evenly, there are no runs even though I was not overly careful in the application and the end result is a beautiful fence - many compliments from the neighbors. The pop top spout also makes it very easy to only use the amount of stain that you need for a specific area. Overall, very satisfied with the results and ease of application. August 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simply...The Best I have been a home owner for over 23 years. I've used a lot of staining/sealer products over the years, and this product is by far, the best I have ever used. I applied the first coat with a brush and a second coat with a roller. Preparation is the key. I used a deck stripper, which removed a lot of old stain, but had to use an orbital sander to remove the remaining stain. it was well worth the effort/time. The light oak goes on fairly dark, but after 2-3 weeks you see a lightening. Wish I had found this product years ago. Will only use this product from now on. July 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by REady Seal Light Oak I used this product on a deck 30 feet high. I had to apply it with a sponge on a stick in some areas because that was the only way to reach it short of a very tall ladder. No streaks and it looks great. the light oak color is so pretty. I have tried many stains and they seem too yellow or too orange. This color has the perfect blend. I will never use another sealer. Love this stuff. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stain Instructions for using this product were excellent and product did what I wanted it to do July 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Deck Sealer Product was better than i thought it would be went on in one coat. Was able to still see the true grain of the wood after i sealed the deck. Beads up the rsin as advertised. Just put it on this spring so I'll see how it holds up in the summer months ahead. June 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great sealer - stain just finished with the 20 gallons i received yesterday. very fast shipping and Wonderfull product. stain goes on just like they said and looks amazing! i didn't figure enough but, thats my fault - to lazy to add up the footage that i needed. i kind of wish that i can buy it at a locale store - but, not a big deal with the fast shipping.
